As I am sure you are all aware, my niece, Susan, is missing, and I have received multiple threats, among other things, on her life.

I am hereby authorizing the arrest of any person or persons who have been vocal in the issue of blood purity. Use your judgment wisely, though assumptions must be made.

If my niece isn't found by the end of the month, stronger actions must be taken. This cannot go any further.

Minister for Magic, A. Bones

It is with great sadness that I must share with you that Charity Ann Burbage, Professor of Muggle Studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was found dead this morning at her home in Cornwall.

Please note that while Aurors from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement are investigating the circumstances under which she was discovered, I would like to assure you that there is no cause for alarm.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday morning from nine until noon at Hogwarts.

Amelia Bones has been elected Minister for Magic.

Her replacement at Hogwarts will be named at this year's graduation ceremonies. Her duties as Minister will begin July 1.

Due to surprising results at yesterday's Minister for Magic elections, the Ministry is asking for a run-off election among three final candidates.
