Arthur, with help from his sons, convinced Molly to let him take her out for the evening. She left careful (though not really needed) instructions for the boys. After going over the list four times, she kissed and hugged each of them as if they were still eight and twelve and this was the first time she was leaving them alone.
Percy spent the afternoon cleaning the Burrow. He had a new appreciation for just how quickly the place got dirty. As he ran through a mental checklist, he finished drying the last of the laundry. The windows were cleaned, the parlor was dusted, and the garden was weedless. Percy then levitated the clothes into neatly folded stacks in their respective baskets. All that was left was dinner. An acrid smell hit his nostrils. Without a second thought, Percy apparated into the kitchen.
