Livejournal recently suspended my accounts without reason and without explanation. I opened a support ticket about it but my questions are going ignored and they aren't responding to me. I've kept asking them about it in my ticket but I gave up. I can't understand it, I did nothing to deserve a suspension. I didn't think that debating with people and arguing were a bannable offense but I could be wrong. I don't know if someone kept flagging me or what. I wasn't the only person suspended that day either Maybe someone here can shed some light on the situation?

You should still be able to use the "export journal" feature to get entries from a suspended journal (no comments or graphics, unfortunately). Go here:

You download one month at a time. Save them all in a folder that you will be able to get to later. Save them in both forms (csv and xml). There is a way to convert these that I am working on, but I don't have time to play with it right now. But get your files before they dump them!

Later in January (semester break) I'm going to figure out how to convert the files and I'll post. Of course, you could just copy/paste them the way they are. But there are Perl scripts online that do this. I just haven't set up a Perl shell yet and don't have time right now.
That's rather nice. I'm currently moving my entries over by hand and that's rather annoying. Fortunately I'm only going after entries I deem 'important' and am just scrapping random memes. Still.... it would be nice to be able to just have a few button clicks to convert all my LJ entries over to IJ...
You are not limited to the "export" feature if your blog is still active. It's much easier for you. First, back it up (EVERYONE should do this regulary anyway). The easiest way is LJArchive. That backs up images, comments, everything. Then you can use LJ Sec to move your blog from one server to another. I say back it up first just in case something goes wrong, but the backup itself has nothing to do with the LJ Sec program.

There are more explicit instructions here:

I will also be posting about such things on my blogspot--already have, in fact!
Oh yay! Thanks! I'll check that out tomorrow when I get some time! :D
