so far, RSS feeds are unaffected

I used an old RPG account on LJ, wrote a fairly smutty entry, and marked it as Adult Explicit. But the feed seems to be just fine. Maybe they'll do something to it later, but in the meantime, any minor could read any journal via rss without going through an age challenge. My example: [info]mean_prof.

Cool, thanks for checking this out!
This is funny as heck, because, way back when the Bloglines fiasco occurred, one of the issues discussed was minors reading adult content.

It underscores what a CYA move this was, on the part of 6A. They could have easily enabled a feature that kept explicit adult content journals out of RSS feeds. But hey! Third parties aren't their problem!
Journals marked Adult Content now have blocked RSS feeds.

If you'd had the feed on your feed reader before, you're fine.

If you go to add them now, the RSS and ATOM feeds cannot be found.
Hmmm, I wonder if it has to do with a cookie or something. Because I made an insane journal account, set it to age 16, and added the feed with no problems. I did have to put in the whole atom feed in the feeds page, but this is the URL:

http://www.insanejournal.com/friends/add.bml?user=mean_prof

give it a try?
could you try also looking at the feed?

feed://mean-prof.livejournal.com/data/atom
manually adding your feed

http://mean-prof.livejournal.com/data/atom worked.

But I can't add:
http://synecdochic.livejournal.com/data/atom
http://box-in-the-box.livejournal.com/data/atom

I hadn't tried to set up feeds for them to be read on my iJay.
Hmmm. must investigate.
