I'm appreciating the discipline I learned in keeping one's quarters tidy. Duncan is impressive in his ability to find new things to put in his mouth.

It's been noted that we will need appropriate gear if we're going to engage in space combat. I understand Shepard and Kaidan have something that can be used as a starting point for development.

I know everyone has been busy this week, so I'm putting off supply orders. I'm sure there was some reassessing to do after that - whatever it was. If possible, I'd like requisitions in by Wednesday so I don't have to look at the network on the fou.

Navigation controls, maneuverability, drive efficiency, speed. I want to go over everything. Whatever it is they do in the future, we can't get cut off from our people.

I'm expecting supply orders from the departments on or before Wednesday the Fourth, so we should have a schedule of incoming deliveries by the end of the week.

I like to think of myself as fairly sensible and frugal, but an overeager shopkeeper ambushed me while I was out shopping with Telana today. With a souvenir like this, I don't even feel cheated.

I seem to have a habit of blundering into volunteering for things. I was discussing with Aranea the possibility of magically tracking future mission participants. It was a project several years ago that fell by the wayside after some experimental efforts, but I think might be revived. The initial attempts did function, but they were rather personalized.

Hot chocolate specials sound wonderfully intriguing. It's enough to make it really feel like January.

The problem with claiming neutrality is that circumstances very rarely allow one to stay that way. Too often it means watching as a situation deteriorates beyond what might have been prevented.

There is a Severe Heat Advisory for today and the next few days. I'd just like to remind everyone to take precautions.

Stay hydrated, wear long loose clothing, take cool baths and showers. If you can, avoid using the oven and stick to cooler meals. Use sunscreen to protect your skin.

This also goes for pets. Make sure they have plenty of water and shade. Dogs, for example, don't have the same natural cooling mechanisms than we do, so we need to keep a close eye on them.

If you start feeling faint and find yourself sweating excessively or not sweating at all when you should be - get out of the heat and then get to Medical as quickly as possible. If you can't get here, send me a message, and I can apparate to you and bring you back.

I'll be running emergency drills every hour on the hour all day Wednesday, starting at 5am.

Depending on performance, there may be sundaes in the evening. I'm told it's the day for it.

This might be a crazy idea. I don't know, it might not even work here, but...

I was thinking about maybe opening a magic shop. Some hokey trick stuff, but if I can manage it, I thought it would be cool to include some real stuff, too. Like potion ingredients, real magic, stuff for us.

I haven't totally thought this through and maybe it's a dumb idea. Please tell me if it's a dumb idea.

It's been my experience that spring air tends to make recrui people restless, and considering our recent influx, I'm taking suggestions for our next training exercise. Any games of the future we should add to the rotation?

While they're heading off to Rhea, we need to improve our defences.

Sadly, I don't know any barriers that are 100% foolproof. But, I'm hoping we can figure out how they got through, and guard against it. We can't have another incident like last night happen again.

I've helped Duncan's healing along a bit. So, he shouldn't need to be kept as long. I feel slightly selfish for only healing him. But, there was no way I would be leaving his side otherwise. And, I have too much to do.
