This is unexpected. I suspect this talk of marriage and these less than desirable clothes won't go away until I agree, which is not my intention.

I would pretend to be engaged to someone, but...

I suppose I will find another way around it.

Is this a normal occurrence? Turning up in places that are unexpected? Not that I haven't been somewhere I didn't expect to be. Like kidnapped and sold to pirates

[Styx had enjoyed her fairy. At least half of the time. She'd debated drowning him more than a few times at night when he forgot about the "no touching" rule. Instead, she bought an old lantern and trapped it in there. It had worked with Tinkerbell, it would do for her fairy, too. She'd even gone so far as to glue it down to the table. It wasn't like she was having guests over anytime soon anyway...or ever.

The warning had been strange and she wasn't exactly sure how to react, but she didn't let herself worry too much. There were things to do and information on a family she didn't even remember to find out.
]

Lanterns make for perfectly good fairy storage if we happen to get fairies again. I may see about stronger glass, though. I may as well buy a candle to keep in there until then considering it's now a permanent fixture.

Styx didn't understand the big deal about Halloween. Even as a child she'd stared at her parents silently for a long span of time when she'd been dressed. One year she'd been dressed as Wednesday Addams because of how she reacted to Halloween in general. After a while, however, her parents stopped dressing her up and didn't make her go trick-or-treating anymore.

There were enough posts about the upcoming holiday that she found herself wondering as to the appeal. She'd never really asked when she was younger because she hadn't opened up to very many people. Quietly, she spent some time scanning the posts. Persephone was gone on vacation. At least she would be happier somewhere warm. Pyri had been oddly quiet. She would try to talk to him soon.

Her fingers paused briefly over the keys, the questions forming themselves. Another moment passed and she decided against them and shut off the computer. Maybe later she'd ask. Yes, later. She had work to do anyway.

[It was a job that required taking a life and burying the mess but someone had to do and Minos was more than happy to have been chosen (they knew this would be the case). And when the thrashing had been over and the body was being sealed up in cement, he found dissatisfaction settling in.

It has been too easy. The man had already given in to his fate, had quietly come along and shown no apprehension. There had been an irritating peace about him that made Minos' blood boil. He wasn't asking for hysterics or unmanly sobbing but
fear from his targets. Fear said everything, it gave a man power, a sense of being respected in its own way. But there had been nothing here, not even after the brutal mess that had been made of the target.

He left
them a message, straight from his black heart:

don't you dare send me to take care of such men again.

They would understand.
]

People frustrate me more than they should.

You all should fix this immediately.

[Pyri was here. Yes, it had been some time since she'd found out, but it was still the truth. It made her wonder if anyone else was around. Were her children? Her husband? Perhaps people who would be less interested in seeing her. She would have to figure out who was around and who wasn't. Eventually.]

How are you doing? I know the fall is not your favorite always good for you. If there is anything you need, you know you can tell me. I hope I'm not bothering you or asking about things when I shouldn't.

Girls, girls, girls...

I don't know about the rest of the male population, but I don't like it when you glob all that eyeliner on. I want to see your eyes, not a black hole. And don't try too hard. Because it looks like you're desperate. When you're in your early 20s, you don't need to be desperate.

I'm saying this, because my friend made me go out this Friday night to a club where we were meeting two girls. One of them had the caked on makeup, the 'I'm going to shove my boobs in your face' shirt, and was constantly hanging off my friend. The other? I didn't even know she had makeup on until I caught her in the right light, her clothes were simple yet sexy, and she held her own.

I've already called her back. Meanwhile, my friend hasn't even touched his phone.

[ He's all smiles when the feed turns on, and maybe a little too hopeful for his own good. ]

When did school get so goddamn boring? I've never been in a place with so many people eager to learn. Take me back to high school please. Or better yet, why don't all of you fine people give me the dirt on this place?

Who loves who, who doesn't love who. Affairs, orgies, virgins, whatever it is, I want to hear it. Just please don't tell me about your vacation homes or pets, unless it has to do with sex. Pretty sure if the latter comes out of anyone I'm going to have to single you out as Zeus. And what haven't we been through together?

I'm itching to get some sparks flying already, so if it makes you feel more comfortable reply anonymously or send me a private message. You can definitely trust me with your secrets, and know, that I know what I'm talking about. [ Yeah right. ]

I think there will be a fair few of you convinced you need my help when you figure out who I am. You can call me Reese, or Eros, if you insist. Hell I'll take Cupid, even if the name brings to mind images of fat kids flying butt naked with wings obviously not designed to support that kind of body weight.
