The 84th Day
11 October 2010 at 11:10 pm
Good morning, inmates. It is the 84th day of the third generation.

There is an issue that I would hear all of your opinions on, one regarding some inmate reactions to the blackout that occurred the night before last. It is imperative that you all understand that such events will naturally happen, so long as inmates have the free reign that they do. The only fail-safe method to ensure that nothing goes wrong is to reduce or remove that freedom.

So then, inmates of Marina Asylum, should the trust and freedom given to you be limited in exchange for a more smoothly operated system and facility? Or are some of you content to endure through some inconveniences, and retain the leniency you have now?

Inmates Fai D. Flourite and Toothless, your requests can be found at the entrance to Sector 0. Inmate Kefka Palazzo, your request will delivered by a remote unit.

[Clearing her throat, Yuuki's voice is soft. It echoes gently on the network, not demanding or even accusatory. Just curious.]

Do you believe that...you should be here? That you, and possibly everyone else, deserves this place as a punishment?

[She has her own definite opinions, just as everyone else. She isn't here tonight to judge others for possibly having different thoughts and beliefs from herself. But-- she wants to know.]

[OOC: You can catch her on her way from the convenience store back to sector 4, or just do audio. ^^]

I heard last year for Halloween there was a party. Nice, but not the only way to celebrate this time of year, is it? There's a lack of the innocent creativity that accompanies the current holiday. [Rayflo is smirking just a little.]

I spoke to Acumen and he gave me permission to host a little "game" if you will. As long as I get enough support. The objective? The one with the most candy wins.

So is anyone up for a fun time of "trick-or-treating" this Halloween?

[Raises an index finger.] And don't forget you agreed to help, Axel.

Ah... hello? It looks like I disappeared again...

How long was I gone for this time?
The 83rd Day
04 October 2010 at 09:23 pm
Good morning, inmates. It is the 83rd day of the third generation, and newly processed criminals will be arriving in the facility over the course of the day.

Concerning the power outage last night, it was a minor error that resolved itself, and I apologize if it caused any inconvenience to inmates.

Today, the climate will be adjusted to progressively cooler temperatures, and some facility plant life will alter as well, in order to create a more autumn atmosphere.

Inmate Cross Marian, use of force against remote units is not tolerated. This will be the only warning.

Haaa--!!

[Letting out a battlecry, Saber slides past the IV stand to finish off the disfigured Nurse that had been wielding it and, while keeping an eye out for more appearing nearby, she dashes towards the last nurse still lumbering towards her. Nearly half a dozen are already left in a messy trail behind her, but they still keep appearing as the knight continues moving forward through Sector 1. Thankfully, so far only groups of about two or three have come out at a time, or otherwise she'd probably be surrounded and overwhelmed while in the middle of dealing with previous ones by now. She knows that this would be easier if she used Invisible Air to wipe them away from a distance, but she can't continuously unravel and restore the wind seal, and she ultimately needs the light to see her surroundings, anyway.

And this is the kind of close fight she hasn't had in a some time. While they don't look it, these undead are more than just the regular cannon fodder-- a fact that the one slashing at Saber with a scalpel proves as it deftly tries to get behind her and go for her unprotected lower back with a speed beyond fallible beings of flesh. However, she's gone far past those limits herself, and with a graceful twist out of the way followed up by a backhand slash, it loses the arm it was swinging before its body is cut cleanly in two.

She doesn't stop for even a breath, though, and quickly leaps off deeper into the Sector to discover what else may lie in wait]

[[ooc: Excalibur will be visible and shiny all night and its glow can be noticed from a distance away, so people are free to be attracted to her like the monsters. Also if you want someone to be saved, Saber'll abandon fighting for a bit to whisk them away if they run to her for help \o/
Also replies will be somewhat slow for a bit, I'm sorry ;;]]

[After seeing Nunnally with wings the other day, Toothless wants to try to fly again even more. He's running around the beach, leaping into the air and taking off before he either 1) lands in a heap, 2) crashes into the water, or 3) glides back down to the ground with a thump. He looks frustrated and not very happy since he can't ever stay off the ground for long. Occasionally he'll shoot up a blue fireball at the dome to let off some steam. The balls always dissipate and don't do any damage to it.]

[OOC: Anyone who wanted to work up towards their chara flying with Toothless using his harness, this post is for you!]

[For everything going on today, what BB is doing almost isn't unusual.

The green-coloured teen is hanging in the park, trying out his various transformations. Little ones like the cat and dog seem fine, but big ones like the T-rex and his current elephant shape are tiring to hold for long. He's being stubborn and holding them for as long as he can though.

Feel free to come across the walking green zoo. If only he could actually change colour]

[Yuuri is at the beach and beaming.]

Hey! Who wants a water park?

[Now he sets the device down to get a larger shot and demonstrates his new no-maou-mode-necessary water powers! He brings a dragon-shaped mass of water up and lets it dance around for all to see!]

[After a very uncomfortable (to say the very least) night, Nunnally has been hiding in her room for most of the morning. The pain faded a little while after she would normally wake up, but the discomfort persisted until very recently. Despite that, the wings are beautiful, and they respond just like an arm or a leg. After years of longing to fly, Nunnally can't help but wonder if they actually work...]

[There's only one way to find out, right? So she's made her way very awkwardly into the front yard, wrapped in a thick blanket to try to hide her wings. Nunnally doesn't want her housemates to be disappointed if this fails, but if it works, they should be the first to know.]

[It's tiring work, but Nunnally is determined to make the best of this.]

((ooc: feel free to come across her actually flying (not very far, just up to the tree or roof for now) or just trying to get a feel for how her wings move))

[There's a long line of bamboo at the beach, their stalks curving gently over the quiet trickling of waves. Further back on the beach are colored lanterns and little tables with pens and sheets of paper and string.

You're supposed to write poems or notes to your loved ones who can't be with you today, right...?]

((event-style posting; comment here to get tagged by other people. sorry if this infringes on the people who posted recently, I was going to post this this morning but had to go out... consider this a post for people who don't have quite enough substance for their own action posts!))

[He waits until it is late enough for the beach to be practically empty. Sitting down near a table he grabs a pen and a piece of paper and lets his thoughts flow into the paper. They are supposed to write something for those whom they miss dearly; he misses his family, yet the letter he is writing is not for Gwendal. Not for his mother, nor for Greta. It’s for a person he has not seen in a long time.]

To Yuuri )

After he is done writing the letter, he folds the piece of paper neatly and carefully attaches it to the little bamboo raft. Carrying it to the water, glazy emerald eyes watch over the floating raft, looking how small waves make the letter slowly disappear into the darkness of the night.]

{ooc: Feel free to come across a sad!Wolfram.~ guy needs luv and lots of hugs :< However, the contents of the letter will be available to no one but Yuuri. Also, Haunt, if Yuuri comes across the letter or not, that’s entirely up to you.}

Edit: SO, Aka is a big airhead and somehow she managed to hallucinate the event was the river version of the Tanabata (in which wishes are sent afloat in bambo pieces.) I'm so sorry! Can we pretend Wolfie misheard the instructions or something? I-I'm so embarrassed. And so sorry ;A;
[action/open | video/closed to broadcast only] PLAY BALL!
08 September 2010 at 11:25 pm
[Gino announced the second official Marina baseball game just like last time, giving the exciting play-by-plays and the occasional commentary about the players and the cheerleaders. He tries the occasional video feed, but the communicator doesn't have the best ability to take in a large setting, so nothing is very clear.

There is really never a dull moment in a game where the players include, but are not limited to, dragons, angels, and vampires, oh my!

The Purple Dragons won in a last minute upset. AND THE CROWD GOES WILD! ...Right? Upsets are pretty exciting.]

[Last night alone hadn't been particularly exhausting; the lizards were no different from Caster's water demons, and she had encountered only one mass of flesh near dawn. But she hadn't been at a safe energy level to start off with, and fighting had just ate away at her dwindling prana even more.

So here Saber is, reaching for her umpteenth serving of food while shoving the plate from the recently finished one out of the way and over to the large, steadily growing, pile of dishes. Having slept in and then rested all morning to recuperate, the Heroic Spirit of the Sword now needs to fill her stomach up, and quickly.

Feel free to stare upon walking in; there's no way a girl that tiny should be able to pack away so much food-- and in record time to boot]

[[ooc: You can catch Saber at either the pizza stand or ramen stand; she'll be making rounds to each to gorge herself see icon keywords]]

[The camera feed flickers on to reveal a young blonde woman, seated facing away from a lightly cluttered desk towards the camera.]

Good morning, everyone! Since there are a lot of new people here, I thought maybe I could make an announcement. To those who don't know me, I'm Winry Rockbell, and I'm an automail engineer from Rockbell Automail.

For those who don't know, automail is the name of advanced mechanical prosthetics on my world, which attach directly to the body's nerves and can be controlled as if it's a regular limb. It's really similar to the idea of cybernetics that some worlds have, that is robotic prosthetics.

[She holds up a metallic arm and leg, her "samples" that are almost identical to the cold-weather automail she made for Ed up in Briggs.]

If anyone who has a similar kind of prosthesis, it's likely I'd be able to do maintenance on it or even possibly upgrade it, if needed. [Or pick up some ideas from foreign technology, but she's not mentioning that.] And if anyone is in the need of any new prostheses, we may be able to arrange with Acumen for the surgery required.

In any case, feel free to contact me and we'll be able to figure out something!

[Sam is browsing the selection at the store, stocking up on the essentials—food, anything he can use as a tool, notebooks, and more salt than makes any kind of reasonable sense.]

The dinosaurs probably should have surprised me more than they did. Does anyone need any help getting to the hospital or with repairs? [Might as well be neighborly while he's here.]

[But it definitely made him eager to get a weapon.]

Is there a Gino or a Lacus listening? There's something I wanted to talk to one of you about.

[Live from the convenience store, here's the Peregrine Mendicant, blinking at the network.] Excuse me, I have a question...

[He's worried about the monsters from last night, but he wants to help people cheer up, so he'll talk about something happier.]

I think it's time for another baseball game! If that's okay with Suzaku. Everyone who can make it should be at practice today, so we can get ready! And maybe we'll have the game, um, in two or three days? Does that sound good? Oh! Maybe I'll send a letter when it's decided. PM likes mail.

If you're new to the team or if you know someone who left, could you let me know? [Sheepishly rubbing his neck and smiling.] I guess Murata was kind of taking care of the rosters, and now they are a little out-of-date.

Does anyone else want to be the manager of the teams? Maybe someone with nice handwriting?

[Toothless is bored. He's been here long enough that he's pretty much explored everything. He knows by now not to mess with the very big fish (aka the dolphins), for they are not for eating, and to leave all the small animals, also not for eating, alone. So now he's trying to see if anyone else wants to play that one game he played a few days ago.]

I want to play the baseball game! Where can I find someone throwing the ball?

[He still thinks that baseball is, more or less, fetch. Throw the ball, bring it back, repeat. It has something to do with teams and going home but he doesn't understand that part. This place isn't home. It's under the water! How can they run home?]
