After a few days' consideration, I think that went pretty well.

Just in case you didn't see Caroline's Save The Date, tomorrow there'll be a sock hop at the center from 6 - 10. It's supposed to serve as a preview of some of what you might learn in my class. Even if you won't be attending the class, feel free to show up for the dance. 50's clothing is encouraged.

I have a few things!

1. Horseback riding chaperones: This is kind of short notice, but I finally got in contact with the ranch and they can do an all day field trip from 10-2 on Wednesday. Whoever still would like to help out with this, please let me know ASAP.

2. Thursday, August 8, there will be an outdoor viewing of Grease at 7pm over at the same ranch. Dressing up for it is not required, but if you dress up the Pink Ladies Appreciation Society (yes this IS a real thing) will give you a free bag of popcorn to enjoy the movie.

3. And then Friday, August 9th, is the crazy sock hop dance.

Anyone want to do another game of laser tag Sunday though? Because I feel its been long enough since the last one to warrant another game. And you know planning is a great distrac

So, does anyone want to help me plan a party? Fifties theme, sock hop. I'm not the greatest at planning stuff like this. I can't pay much, but I will compensate.

Right. So we've been keeping secrets from each other and we are supposed to be stopping that. I'm going to come clean first.

I've been spending time with Stefan. Just being a friend for him, one who isn't also all over Elena's bullshit. She hurt him, I'm trying to help him.

Nik knows, I told him this morning. But there, it's in the open now. No one go after Stefan.

Elijah, you shouldn't have kept Katherine's humanity from us. You should have just told us.

It was fun teaching the vampire class with you. If you want to make it a long term thing, I'd like that.

All of the other teachers seem to be putting their class out there, so I thought I'd spread the word on mine. I'm currently teaching a class centered on pop culture in the 1950's. Anyone is welcome, even people who have lived through the decade like me.

Rose! If I get the field trip forms filled out can I plan an excursion to a farm that's only a few minutes out of town? Let the kids enjoy some good old fashioned horseback riding?

If she does agree to this I'm so gonna need chaperoning help. Anyone want to visit a farm and ride horses? It looks like you can also milk cows and stuff but I'll stick to the horse part.

Okay. So I am going to be taking over the Vampire 101 class. Lessons will be on Wednesdays, at 10am and then repeated at 10pm.

I will accept no racism in my class. It is to understand vampires, not simply to find out how to kill us. We are far more complex than you might think. Anyone with an open mind is welcome to attend.

Got some openings for teaching with the classes. Particularly vampires and shapeshifters. Got anyone who's wanting to take either of those on? I supply the information, you dole it out to the masses.

Next camp is gonna be toward the end of August. Ain't got days set up yet because I've got a few other things to take care of.

I got three hunts available. This ain't first come, first serve, but who I think can actually handle the job. Say if you want one.

Okay so since it was actually kind of a hit when I mentioned it, I'll be a bit more serious this time. Who's actually into this pop culture class idea? And who wants what decade? Dibs on the 90s! Just saying. And I think it was Lydia ... or was it Lois... SOMEBODY mentioned we should start with the most recent stuff and work backwards which kind of makes sense, I think. Objections?

If you want to teach this stuff to our fellow displaced, come grab a decade and start putting your stuff together! I'll leave your lesson planning up to you guys :P This is gonna be the best class EVER! I'm so ridiculously excited! H.G., you should join in the fun at some point, just saying.

(ETA) Don't worry if someone went for "your" decade, we can definitely have more than one person covering one decade. Just, y'know, collaborate and make sure you aren't doing the same stuff!

(ETA2) This doesn't have to be confined to the 1900s, guys, I just figure they're a good place to start!

Hey, are you doing the 4th of July thing at Felicia's? I was thinking about stopping by after dark.

Given the number of vampires living here in the open, I thought it would be appropriate to get my own secret out in the open. I'm a vampire. I've been a vampire since long before I got here. I try to demonstrate responsibility, and I think I've done a good job of it. I know it's possible this might affect my employment at the medbay. It's okay if you don't trust me enough to let me work there. This just needed to be said.

God, no matter how many times I rewrite that message it just seems off. How are you since that fight with Jerry and his?

We have a stake. We have people asking about magic and people looking into that. You guys have a day. Sorry but I'm tired of how long this is taking and tacking on 'what if we can save them' to that, no dice. And be aware they have Lucifer onside so personally, I don't see a happy ending for this guy.

Oh and you guys with the blessed stake you also have a day before the rest of us start aiming for the heart.

Lucifer is Lucifer and would make a deal with someone he deems less than even demons for one thing. So I'm gonna make this very clear. If Sam gets hurt in any way by this I'm going to stake them. All three of them. Fancy stake would be nice and save lives and all that adorable jazz but I'm not gonna hang around if there's a threat.
