Bill was glad to be wise to London's streets. While he only grew up there as a mortal child, and spent as precious little time there as possible in his adulthood and immortality, he had found a fondness for it in this reality. His family lived here, and his friends often found their way there. He was happy to talk to Cee and meet Qorra, and get himself situated with busywork, to keep himself from going utterly up the wall with boredom. And he met some new people.
It was amusing to Bill that no matter where, no matter when, there was always a thready undercurrent of a little infamous metal band in this reality. He was off to meet one of their Gears. It wasn't the first he'd met, and would certainly not be the last. He stepped into the pub just after dusk, wearing sunglasses over his hazel eyes, his sun-bleached brunet hair tied back into a low, short ponytail at the nape of his neck. He wore casual clothes - a collared shirt under a black leather jacket, and a pair of jeans over a pair of well-worn leather boots. Bill looked more like a rock star than any form of pirate or bookish priest, but he always prided himself on being able to blend.
He found CD easily and slid into a seat, ordering two rounds with a single motion of his hand to the bartender. "I hope you don't mind," he said, his voice raspy but warm and pleasant, well traveled and mostly British by nature, "if I buy the first round, mate." |

Miniver tumbles from the portkey roughly ten minutes after his last message to Bill. He hasn't been here for a while, but he's actually passably familiar with this area. He takes a few moments to get his bearings before scrambling onto a stack o' stuff near the water, a good open space, and -- as promised -- yelling as loud as he can, completely ignoring any stares he gets for it.
"BILL TURNER! GET YOUR CURSED ASS OVER HERE! BILL!! COME ON, BILLY, HUSTLE! MAKE LIKE NESSIE WHEN THE PAPARAZZI COME! BILL TURNER!!!"
It is entirely probable that, being Miniver, he will keep doing this until he goes mute, somebody pushes him into the water, or Bill shows up. Whichever comes first. |

The home was quaint looking - a two story brick house with a front porch upon which someone had built a snowman - which had proper blue gemstones in place of coal eyes, and large red jewels as buttons. The impression it gave was that either the inhabitants inside had no idea how valuable the stones were, that they knew how valuable they were and didn't care, or that the stones were fake, and they were tacky. The door itself was indeed, open. There was no sword-wielding spitfire to greet him, as she was in the kitchen, immersed in whatever it was she was doing on her laptop.
There was, however, music coming from the room up the stairs, and inside it, there was a young looking man, sitting in a chair, directly in a beam of sunlight as he mixed herbs and ground them in a pestle and mortar. On one side of the table at which he was sitting, there was an old book opened to a dogeared page, and a few stones with handheld grinding tools at the ready. It wasn't as if Bill hadn't heard Oz approach, it was simply that he was too busy making sure he had the proper amount of herbs, at the proper texture and didn't want to screw it up. |

It's late. Miniver's spent the day... well, everywhere, really. He did initially go to Teague's house to hang with the brood over there, then bounced back to Mordhaus for some quality time with his husband, but he's in a particularly energetic swing right now, and come nightfall, was out wandering the streets again with one of his acoustic guitars strapped to his back. He hates autumn... he hates the cold dreariness of London weather and the evening mist matting down his curls and coating his jacket with glittery droplets... but his feet won't keep still, and eventually when windowshopping gets dull, they find their way back to the place that's his other true home -- one he shares with a couple of vampires.
He wanders in, as always, without knocking or announcing himself, and heads towards the study, where he hopes there'll be a fire to warm up next to. |

Jack had woken early, as he usually did, and even before he heard the Dutchman's joyous shout he knew that they were home, something about the air, the quality of the light, he would be hard-pressed to figure out exactly how he knew, all he knew was that it was home, and despite his previous objections to repeating time, this was different.
He grinned before extracting himself carefully from the other two, knowing that Bill at least would sleep a while yet, he dressed quickly, grin just spreading as he stepped out onto the deck, settling his hat into place. It had been an adventure before, a quest even, but now, right now, for today, it was a real Quest.
As soon as he was away from the cabin door he was barking orders as he made his way to the helm, still grinning half maniacally, it was a happy expression, really. He petted the wheel, as he was prone to doing, the ship still wasn't the Pearl, but it was much closer now than it had been yet. |
