Miniver tumbles from the portkey roughly ten minutes after his last message to Bill. He hasn't been here for a while, but he's actually passably familiar with this area. He takes a few moments to get his bearings before scrambling onto a stack o' stuff near the water, a good open space, and -- as promised -- yelling as loud as he can, completely ignoring any stares he gets for it.

"BILL TURNER! GET YOUR CURSED ASS OVER HERE! BILL!! COME ON, BILLY, HUSTLE! MAKE LIKE NESSIE WHEN THE PAPARAZZI COME! BILL TURNER!!!"

It is entirely probable that, being Miniver, he will keep doing this until he goes mute, somebody pushes him into the water, or Bill shows up. Whichever comes first.

Or gets pushed into the water by Bill himself, though Bill isn't the type to do that to just anybody.

However, Bill was just the exact kind of person to sneak up to his greatest of friends, wrap him in an arm from behind and drag him into an altogether firm and dipping kiss, chuckling low in the back of his throat. He'd made haste as only vampires and The Flash could make haste once he got the message that Miniver would be at the pier in ten minutes.

He withdrew from the kiss and smiled faintly, shaded by the pier itself, which had carnival rides, a boardwalk, and all the joy and merriment any particularly kitschy tourist trap could provide.

"Somebody missed you, Miniver Cheevy," Said Bill, His voice bearing a low, rolling chuckle with the words.

Miniver topples into Bill's arms with a surprised squeak, but spends no time being shocked. He wraps the vampire in a tight embrace and kisses back as firmly as he would a lover, though he has never applied that word to what Bill is to him -- the greatest of friends is better. Easier. Miniver growls softly as he kisses the other man, and when they finally part, he grins at Bill's words despite the faint sheen of silver in his eyes.

"Goddammit, Bill," he rasps, scruffing his hair a bit roughly, "I thought I'd never see you again." He holds his hand in Bill's hair and looks into his face for a few seconds before pouncing him in a bearhug. He squeezes hard as he takes a deep breath and huffs it out. "Shithead." There is nothing but joy in that word.

Bill kept an arm around the boisterous poet the entire time he spoke and roughed up his hair, and when he was hugged, Bill hugged back warmly and lovingly as ever. "Aye, but y'didn't plan on me returnin', even tho' I'd accidentally left books behind? They're my memories, y'know, can't leave that sort of thing behind, 'else I'd be wholly crazy." He tugged Miniver out of the shallows and up onto the sand, grinning an altogether proud, happy smile. "And I wouldn't've left, 'cept apparently it ain't my decision. You are such a sight to see, Miniver, after being back home. Well. Not so much home now, as this place. Family's here now." He nitpicked and straightened Miniver's coat on his shoulders and picked off a piece of fuzz that had landed there.

"Just me for now, but if I can't find m'way back, Jack'll be after in due time, along with th'Thief. Library came with me yet again."

Miniver positively beams at him, fussing right back, though a bit less effectually, what with the slightly shaking hands and all. He mostly fumbles and laughs.

"Christ, Bill... you disappeared, I felt like I fell out of my world all over again. That probably sounds creepy or something but damn... you were the first thing I knew in this one, and the only home I had for a long time. Hey. Are you goin' back to your old house or staying here or what? And where have you BEEN??"

"Henn said that the amoeba has taken over that home, though I've got others here and there. I'll likely see to it that I have my home in Tortuga, now that Anne's got proper ownership of it... I've been where I came from originally. And for no good reason, really. Was just th'same as ever, 'cept Anne's here, and Petit as well. Th'twins were practically runnin' the whole island on their lonesome, and you oughtn't let them run much more than a campaign for more booze." He smiled and wrapped an arm around Miniver, idly wandering them both up to the pier proper.

"Missed you, though. You might not have been a very effective member of a ship crew, but you still would've fit just right on our island, luv. Worlds of difference, those, particularly when it comes down to th'need of a good storyteller and bard." He buried his face in Miniver's maddeningly long and curly locks. "So I devised a way back. Half-baked plan as it was - I don't know if I'll rightly be able to return there again. I may have just doomed myself to an eternity of this brand of madness."

"And would that be so bad?"

Miniver walks with Bill, an arm around his waist, leaning his head towards the pirate a little.

"I'd go with you, y'know. Not forever. I know I can't get separated from Pickles forever. I dunno how I know, I just do. But what the hell... I passed as a pirate once, however briefly." He hops up onto the pier with Bill. "So... what's your half-baked plan, anyway?"

"Wouldn't dare let you," Bill tutted, squeezing Miniver's upper arm lightly, "Your husband would shred me up with his bottle of whiskey. As far as my plan goes, I'll be stayin' here, lookin' after my line as I always have, and doin' my very best at stavin' off what evil may fall over my loved ones. S'not a very thought out plan. Never was very good at those..." He smiled as he walked slowly beside Miniver. He'd felt restless since he'd been returned to the reality from whence he came, and couldn't sit still, knowing he'd left so many people hanging. It would have tortured him for years if he hadn't returned.

One of the most important people to him, one of the largest loose strings, was right there beside him just then. "And how about you, you old soul? What have you been keepin' yourself busy with, lo these past few months?"

Miniver grins when Bill speaks about Pickles, sidesteps just a tiny bit in order to nudge him and keeps walking. But at his last question, he tugs a hand through his black curls and sighs thoughtfully.

"Oh... jeeze, what ain't I been into? Well uhh... I guess you know about the kids. Um, other than that... Cass had my ass tossed into rehab, so... I did that and like... been seeing this psycho-doctor back home. They got me on these pills now, right... Bah. Oh and I've been mostly sticking with Marnie while I'm here, since you left. I'm uhh... I'm having a kid. Well, she is, but it's kinda mine. I think that's about it. Heh, y'know, even my dog misses you. Few times I've had him back in the house since you left, he'll sprawl out where he used to and every so often he like, looks up at the door and thumps his tail and goes back to sleep. I stopped taking him there because it was depressing me."

He slips his hand into Bill's and squeezes.

"Things just ain't felt right since you left."

Taking in all of the information and nodding to each point, Bill listened intently. "Cass himself, hm? When I'd left, they were just then talking about it - Sable and Cass, that is. Soren as well. Still, it's good you've gone dry. If you need a more holistic approach to treatment, I'll help you with that." He smiled a bit more wholeheartedly, "Marnie, that would be... Sable's mother, as well, aye? Congratulations to th'both of you."

He stopped walking and squeezed Miniver's hand as well. "Wasn't my intention. I'm sorry I did, though. It seems that things well and truly fell apart without our bein' here, and I'll rectify that just as soon as I get settled into my new abode. And as usual, there will be plenty of space for my dear friends." He looked into Miniver's eyes and his wide smile slid into a more subtle, gentle, altogether warm and loving one. "But for right now, I'm more than happy to simply be here."

"Holistic...? Yeah. I'd try that, too. That'd be... that'd be great, Bill. And thanks. Still not sure having another kid was the best idea I ever had, but like... y'know when you want something too much to listen to whatever better judgment you got? It's like that."

Miniver stops walking when Bill does, and looks back at him, just as intensely. "Bill, if you can do anything to help them, it'll be a miracle and a half. I've turned myself inside-out trying and just made shit worse, if anything." He reaches up to tuck a bit of Bill's hair behind his ear and smiles back at him. "I think... they'll all be okay now, though." Me, too, he doesn't say aloud.
