Sami was at the bar, where she usually was, at least, where she usually was when she wasn't darting over to check on people, laughing with the regulars, welcoming the newbies and teasing the staff.

She had Herbie the rainbow boa draped over the back of her neck, his head resting atop her left breast, his tongue flicking out now and again but otherwise apparently sleeping, she flickered her own tongue out at him in turn now and again, just to tease, the rattle-tip of her tail shaking along with the music as was her habit.

Deciding to make his rounds by order of who was least likely expecting him to most likely, Bill decided to hop a portkey down to Louisiana, en route to Florida, where he'd be meeting up with Anne and spending the night. Bill wandered down the stairs and into the bar, immediately smiling over at the bartender lamia. He made his way to the bar, weaving through the small throng of people between the front door and it, and took a seat.

"Odd weather, this time of th'year," He offhandedly spoke, "Never know what'll be swept in with it. I'll have a Serpentine, and a bottle of Guinness after." He said, smiling at Sami with the same sneaky smile that he came in with.

Sami laughed as she made his drink, setting it on the bartop along with the bottle, out of the way so that she wouldn't knock them over when she dragged him forward into a cleavage faceplant, just for a moment before letting him up again and kissing his forehead, "Well, well, well! Look at you! Couldn't stay away I take it?" She shrugged one shoulder then, stroking Herbie's head gently to soothe him since he'd been woken from his nap, "Don't blame you. Don't think I'd know what to do back home either."

She arched a brow then, scanning the crowd and the stairs, "Everyone's favorite Captain hasn't followed you just yet? Ah well, he'll be along when he's along, just the way he is."

He reacted as any proper pirate would in times of faceplanting into a large amount of cleavage. He motorboated her. Grinning and chuckling as he sat back up, he gave Sami a wink, "Y'know, I couldn't. Too many damn beautiful people here to just up and leave suddenly... And no, for th'record, Jack's decided to stay behind 'less I decide not to leave, in which case, he'll be makin' his way here with th'Thief boy 'round Halloween. He's likely to be 'round by then, and likely no sooner, 'less he truly cannot find a single thing to occupy his time."

He sat back and took in Sami in all of her beauty, while drinking down the cocktail. "Heard this place went straight to hell without us, though."

She cackled at the motorboating, ruffling his hair as she let him up.

She tilted her head, listening to the explanation, "Might've." She replied with a shrug, "You were here for the last round of zombies, weren't you? Don't recall there's been anything too terrible since, 'nother baby-plague, or a continuation of the same one, hard to say with things like that. Know we've got another batch of grown-kids, haven't met most of them, but I know they're around."

"Aye, have another descendant, it seems," nodded Bill, "Though I was mostly referrin' to th'pack of kids what was already here and their ordeal, Miniver an' Teague gone dry, an' what's this I heard about a vampire tryin' to put together some sort've vampiric government?" He shrugged and finished off the cocktail and went to the beer.

"S'a bit crazy, figure this is as good of time as any to get things back to normal."

"There's a who doing a whatnow?" She shrugged, "Ain't a vampire, I tend to stay out of their affairs, same goes for the pantheons, they're welcome in my bar, just so long as they remember it's my bar. Other than that I leave 'em alone."

She nodded, "Lost the Cookie and the Cupcake a while ago, things were going bad back home so I told 'em they weren't allowed to come back to work until it all settled down again and ain't seen them since."

"You'll get 'em back, luv, they just need a firm authority which knows better than to stick his nose in where it doesn't belong," Bill said with a one-shouldered shrug. "Still, it'll turn out well enough, always does," sighed Bill, shaking his head.

"Seems like the very moment I arrived, I was playin' dashing hero once again. Schtick like that gets old after a while."

"I don't want them back." She said, shaking her head once, hair bouncing, "Not until they're well and ready to be back, besides, Cookie's got laywering to do, been getting good at it from what I hear, her ma' was in here a few weeks back with an update, looks about ready to drop that kid any minute."

She grinned, reaching over to ruffle his hair again, mostly just because she could, "It'll be nice to have babies around again, haven't had many of them since back home y'know."

"Aye, don't look at me, luv, I've had mine, and he's grown and dead." He winked and ruffled her hair right back, "It'll be great to see Petit's child, I remember her from when she was just in school. Can't believe she's grown and havin' children of her own. S'always a surprise to me. I believe that's why I don't often concern myself with children, s'always a surprise to watch them grow up and then grow old..." He sighed and shook his head. "Have you been findin' wetnurse work?"

She shook her head, "Not at all, actually, but I don't really mind it so much." She said giving her chest a healthy squeeze, "Girls aren't up to the work anymore, sad to say."

She leaned her hip against the bar, giving the room another quick scan, waving at one of the regulars as he made his way down the stairs, she decided to let the waitstaff do their job and take care of him, "Petit's said I can babysit though, so's Lulu, and Brenda, probably ought to take one of them up on it one of these days."
