Derek wasn't the type to enjoy being cooped up; if anything he preferred being outdoors whenever he got the chance. Perhaps, it was the wolf in him or maybe it was just his personality...or even a little bit of both. Because he did know other werewolves who managed to handle being inside more often than not, and they only went out to run. Some of them even chose to lock themselves in cages after they had control, because they were ashamed of what they were. That was something that Derek would never understand, because his mother had raised him to be proud of what they were. Sure, they couldn't always tell everyone, but that didn't mean he had to hate himself or try to keep his wolf from ever coming out. He just couldn't imagine living a life like that and he certainly wouldn't wish it on anyone. This was one of those times that he just wanted to be outdoors; he had all of this energy and he really did need to go blow off some steam. So, he decided that a run on the beach might do him some good. With that in mind, he made his way from the area where he had been spending most of his time and headed straight for the beach. He walked at a leisurely pace, choosing to enjoy the view while he made his way there. After all, he would be burning up more than enough energy once he got there. In the end he was glad that he had chosen to enjoy the scenery, because he arrived at his destination still fresh and ready for that run. Right away he took of at run and not worrying if anyone saw him here, he let the wolf out a little bit and even let out a bit of roar as he moved through the sand. It was a nice quiet time, and for quite a while he didn't spot another soul on the beach. But finally he spotted someone up ahead, so he slowed down a little bit. Derek wasn't the type to socialize much, but he did need to make some friends here. So, he thought now might be the time to let his guard down just a little bit. So, as he got closer to the woman, he came to a stop and nodded his head slightly. "Hello! You seem familiar" he said, in way of a greeting. She looked like the person he had spoken with on the network, or at least the picture of her. |
