Like so many other places, I'm going to have to close my doors for a while. My limited staff is in quarantine and I can't do it by myself. Besides, business is next to nothing. I'll still do deliveries, so in that way, we will be open, but no hands-on anything. Please call or email us and I'll send your order right to you. Remember before you order, though, there is no cure for COVID-19 and none of the holistic things I have are any different. They might alleviate a symptom a little, but you need to be following CDC guidelines and checking in with your regular doctor. If you don't have a doctor, you can call here and I have the names of walk-in clinics that I'd be happy to give you. I hope everyone is doing well. There goes rent this month.

Do you ever have dreams or think of things or people that you shouldn't know but the feeling is so strong that you do? I don't know, I'm rambling but I do know that my sleep schedule lately has been kind of off the wall.

Maybe I need a vacation.

I don't understand this trend towards burning the candle at both ends. Don't people understand you need to be well-rested to actually accomplish things? It seems to be the worst with students, but I see all kinds of clients coming in for things to help them stay up, rather than just get a little shut-eye. You can accomplish so much more if you aren't trying to do it through a droop-eyed haze. Stop being afraid of naps, people! Just stop. (I mean, I'll give you some eye-opening-stuff, sure, but I don't encourage it!)

I would like to know who all is here. And, if possible, meet with each of you.

Anyone wanna guess who just stayed up way too late to fill a special order for one of their best customers? That's right, this girl! Still, I think the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' cake pops came out really well. In fact, they've inspired me to make some Halloween cake pops.

Between those, and the pet-safe treats we're now offering, business at the cafe has been pretty good. My only complaint is that it doesn't give me all that much time to see people. Still, it's nice having some dedicated customers. That's gotta mean I'm doing something right, I think.

...I'm rambling. I need sleep.

They're calling for rain and true fall temps tomorrow, so y'all know what that means.

If you guessed that it means turning into a blanket burrito and letting the rain be my sleep soundtrack, you are correct. I'm gonna enjoy this while it last, all too soon the skies will just dump 12 feet of snow on everything. And I am not about that life.

So, I've been thinking, and while it's awesome that a lot of us have found our soul mate or the missing piece of our personal puzzle from back in the day, I feel like that might not be enough for some situations. Like, imagine if you get hurt, and they won't let your special person make decisions for you because you don't have a ring on your finger or some fancy piece of paper? That would really suck.

Anyway, I just saw some guy almost get hit by a bus because he decided to stop and say something really gross to me and wasn't in the crosswalk.

After so long I'm myself again. My memories are returning, my strength is returning. I miss you. I'm learning who's here slowly and I want to see you all. Who will be at the gala? I will attend as Arista Callas with Ares - Caleb Morrison - on my arm. If you aren't attending, I will come to you as soon as I can. My home [penthouse address] is open to you.

I really can't remember the last time I was so happy and at peace. Dreams really do come true.

Thank the gods it's the weekend. I would've had to call out of work three days in a row.

What's good, NYC? My name's Dorian, and I moved here...it'll be eight days ago tomorrow. Kind of uprooted my whole life, and let me tell you, New York is a different planet compared to Iowa. (Hold all bumpkin jokes til the end, plzkthnx.)

I've been told you can find anything in New York if you look hard enough. Or anyone. I'm hoping to find someone...well, a lot of someones. I just don't have any idea where to start.

Oh well. I survived the two-day drive, and moving my stuff into a third-floor apartment, and learning that apparently my front stoop is party central for the teenagers in my building. It'll be fine. It'll work out.
