I'm not sure what to feel right now.

Apollo has left the city.

I can't believe classes are already starting up soon. It feels like summer just started.

i crashed early tonight. and just woke up from a really messed up dream. i dreamed that i had wings and was flying then got knocked out of the air by this massive rock and my wings got ripped off by..... idk. like this giant goat demon. and then i was stabbed with this massive spear. that's when i woke up.

my shoulder blades are on fire and it feels like i was actually impaled by a spear.

i'm not sure what all that was about, but, i'm not a big fan of it.

[Lani can't recall the last time she remembered her dreams. She always liked to joke that she slept too soundly to remember anything. Tonight was different, though. She was dreaming of the sea, no big surprise there. She'd practically grown up in the ocean. But this wasn't her ocean. It was like she was flying over an island she'd never-always-hadn't seen. Ancient ships were sailing towards it, all of them in the shadow of an enormous bronze statue.

But even as she watched, the earth started to shake. The statue started to waver. And before her dream self could even make a sound, it collapsed and fell into the sea.

Lani woke up screaming, her body drenched in sweat, hair sticking to her face. Her heartbeat was like a bird trying to get free, and she couldn't explain the level of fear and dread that had overtaken her. It made no sense. It was just a stupid dream. Right? It was just a stupid dream.]

Whatever I ate that made my brain spit that dream out, clearly I need to lay off it. No thanks, bruh. No thanks.

Ok, two days of headaches are two days too many.

It's bad enough I'm having such bizarre dreams.

When the surge hit, nothing felt different for Pheme at first. Then, within seconds, she could hear it - the voices. They started soft, growing in volume, bringing news both lovely and lascivious to her ears. A fragment of memory stood out to her, all about how she used to be able to spread the word in a similar manner. Deciding to take a chance, she whispered a single sentence, waiting to see if any of her allies responded.

Now I am all for distractions, hell I've made a nice little career out of that in some ways but suddenly getting hit with a migraine in the middle of the day, not cool. I could have sworn the building shook too but I don't want to know that.

Also it was 114 in Phoenix today, how do people just not melt as they're walking down the street?

It wasn't diffiult to find Mount Olympus. Of course it wasn't. It was right there. But the difficult part, or Zeus and Hera had figured, would be opening the gates. Because surely Kronos and his ilk had done something to keep them out. Barred them, at best. Destroyed them, and the rest of Olympus at worst. Needless to say it was surprising that they were able to easily (well, relatively speaking) find and open the gates to their home.

It was even more surprising when they saw that, for the most part, it was mostly intact. There was still damage from the war, but, the buildings were still there. The palaces were still there. Everything was still there. Untouched. There had been a slight rumble when the King and Queen first entered. But, really, Zeus had just thought that it was due to the gates opening - it had taken a little force and they had shook as they opened, after all.

The tingling in his body, though. That was new. And Hera was feeling it too. It sort of felt like an odd vibration running through them. It felt like it was running through the entire area. Kind of like their home was coming back to life with their presence; welcoming them back. The door to their palace was pushed open, and when it was, there was what he could only call a shockwave that erupted from it and hit them full force.

Both of them staggered back and, while he didn't feel like his old self, there was something new and different; yet very familiar all at the same time. "Did you feel that?" He looked over at Hera, and he could have swore she was glowing slightly. Was she? Maybe? He didn't know. Was he? All he knew that he was home. They were home.

He also knew that there was a very strong scent of ozone, and a moment later, there was a loud peal of thunder and the skies lit up with lighting. And he knew that he'd caused it. He just smiled and looked over to Hera. Things were going to start looking up for them - all of them - he was sure of it.


Awakened Olympians and Allies

Olympus is once more open to us. All of us.



(OOC NOTE: So, with the re-opening of Olympus, those Olympians (allies, anti-titan, w/e) that have already awakened have regained some of their abilities and strength. They're still not anywhere near full strength, but...



Also, those Olympians that are not awake, this hasn't awakened them, but, it has jostled them a little bit. Still feel free to wake them up on your own terms, but, maybe they've started to get the headaches and dreams that preceded the others waking up.

Some days I think things can't get any worse and then I wake up, turn on the news and yep it's worse. Overall depressing. Anyone have anything good to share? I think we could all use it.

Heard about dinner, sorry I missed it. Anything happen of note?

I love this time of year, the colors are vibrant everywhere.

But the long summers days and nights are growing less and less with each day too. I love to grow and nurture things; I've never really been a fan of the late fall and winter.It's always so cold and the nights are dark and long.

But that's not here yet. Anyone doing anything fun for the long weekend?

I think the other two have finally stopped bickering. Mostly. I mean, they'll never totally stop, but for now, the upstairs is quiet. Taking bets on how long that's going to last.

Anyway. I'm down in the shop, keeping an eye on things and drinking endless cups of tea. Also trying to figure out what we're going to do with these 50 copies of Poe's collected works that we received by mistake. We definitely didn't order them. At least not that I remember? And we definitely don't have space for them, so I'm probably just gonna keep 2 or 3, and slap $5 stickers on the rest of them. So I guess we're having a Poe fire sale. Get 'em while they're hot.
