My roots are showing. I know I know, first world me problems lol I am aware.

Sometimes dark humor comes out because everything else is just so bad. I might be going stir-crazy in here too. I need to just go out and get some sun and fresh air. At least we still have the technology and can keep in touch with friends and loved ones.

Things are scary and I get that. But is it really so hard to be nice to people?

If you have to be out, be kind, and give each other space. Don't give snotty ass looks when someone makes a beeline away from you. It's not you, it's trying to stay 6 feet away for gosh sake.

Being nice to others isn't only a good thing for them but it's good for you too. And at the current time, we all have to find the things we can to be nice to ourselves too.

I hope all who can see these are doing well and staying safe. It is far harder done that said I've found in the past few weeks.

Chaos is an understatement and I don't recall being so tired. So many lost and melancholy souls. Sometimes I've had the errant thought of just wanting some quiet time. Not forever, just day or so. But then there is guilt because that isn't fair to all the others who want the same thing but have far, far too much to do.

The thing I miss the most is just the company of others.

Who are you quarantining with? I've been spending my time with Orion, sharing time between his quarantine house and my quarantine house. We go from home to car from home, gloved and masked, and have food delivered. We're being healthy and safe. And I know not everyone has this option, but I am so thankful that we have a change in venue. I'd be going insane if I could only see the inside of my house until this is over.

How do you fare in this unfortunate time? Are you doing well? Do you need anything? You know that I am here to make sure you have whatever you need.

I thought a quarantine would make my job quieter, but with New York becoming a veritable morgue, there are more and more fights over estates and wills. I'm working remotely, but let me just remind you that things are just things and the loss of life is more important. Money doesn't spend when you're dead. The Rivers of the Underworld are teeming with things people thought they could bring with them. Be kind to your remaining loved ones. Otherwise, there is someone worse than me waiting for you at the other end.

My - Paige's - biological father keeps reaching out to me. Her. WHatever. He's trying, I guess, to make amends for my mother's horrible words and actions on the 20th. He's apologized, he says he misses he, he makes a very big point to say he wishes "we" were well, but just can't forget the look t his face when mother went off on her tirade about me. Like I can help whos I was born. Hell, she's the one that gave birth to me. I told him that we were fine and being safely isolated. Yes, of course, I would be crushed if he - or mother died. But I just... I know I should forgive him, I just... I'm not ready yet. And I wonder if that makes me a bad daughter.

I was going to post another picture of Eros and me, but I decided not to. We have literally so many. We're taking them every day so that we can remain #QuarantineHappy, and it's working! For one, brief nd silly moment during the day, we put away everything that's making us upset and pause to focus on just one thing that's making us happy. I know it's a privilege to be able to do this, but if you can? You don't even have to write it down. Just take one picture in the place, with the person, doing the act of what you love. When we come out on the otherwise, it'll be there for you. This is a dark time, so we all need to work to make it into something it doesn't want to be.

Do you think it's time for an adventure? Calypso and her young man are always taking them. The soles of my feet are growing roots here and that's never good for me.

Are... are you there? Or is this just a dream, too?

Should we go with Melinoe? It isn't our place, but I'm not sure can I refuse the summoning.

Things are out of hand. The underworld is a mess. If no one will step up to try and put things in order, then I will be going down there tomorrow and you won't see me again until something is working. I can't do my job, properly, until the ghosts go to their final resting places. Meet me at Mors at midnight and we'll go together. If no one shows up, then I'm going to deal with it alone.

I hate going to work and knowing that someone I saw yesterday won't be there anymore. Not because they were released, but because they have moved on. I'm thankful that I can help those that I can move on comfortably, but this is going on for far, far too long. My heart hurts.

i woke up this morning with the most blindingly painful of headaches. i couldn't even open my eyes. and then it was almost like an explosion and i really thought my head had just popped open like a grape. ugh. this is the worst.

Uncharitable Thought of the Day: I finally settle on a vacation plan and all international flights and cruises are, essentially, cancelled. Same for resorts and any place I'd want to luxuriate at. Excellent. I guess I am not meant to travel abroad.

The Two Torches is, also, closed until further notice. However, I will deliver any supplies that you might need directly to you and leave it on your door to avoid any unnecessary contact.
