Uncharitable Thought of the Day: I finally settle on a vacation plan and all international flights and cruises are, essentially, cancelled. Same for resorts and any place I'd want to luxuriate at. Excellent. I guess I am not meant to travel abroad.

The Two Torches is, also, closed until further notice. However, I will deliver any supplies that you might need directly to you and leave it on your door to avoid any unnecessary contact.

In light if the virus spreading around, I will be conducting virtual classes on herbal medicine (not to replace Western meds) and some crystal therapy sessions. You can order the supplies, I will hand select them for you and one of my acolytes will deliver. Be smart, stay home, but let the world open up inside of your own doors. Additionally, if you just need something from the store, we'll be delivering until further notice.

so, i've decided that i'm going to have a taco / nacho / quesadilla / burrito party at my place on friday. if you don't have valentine's plans, come on over. hell, even if you do have plans, feel free to come have tacos before or after. i make a mean spread. and it won't kill you, i promise.

I have always loved New York City and figured one day we'd settle down here. And now that we're here, it's just so much, but not in a bad way. I'm just glad we were easily able to find a place to live.

I never did take that vacation I was talking about. I could never figure out where and it never seemed like the right time to close the shop. There was always something or someone to help. I wish I could worry less about others and more about myself. I feel... something close to exhaustion for the first time in my life.

With all that's happened in the past year, I'm considering actually closing the shop for a few days and taking a vacation. However, I have no idea where to go. Any thoughts? Any pictures to back your thoughts up? I should hire help so I don't have to close to leave. If you're looking for a job, I'd love to talk to you about that, too.

[When Charon gets the message from Hecate, it's very to the point. 'It is done.' A little thrill goes through him, and he decides right then to go and check out her work. It isn't that he doesn't trust her, but any excuse to go home is a good one. And it's a short trip, given that there's an entrance in the basement of Thanatos' home. Another reason moving in was a good choice.

It doesn't take him long to get to the newly made dock, and he can feel the magic the closer he gets. It's almost like it's reaching out, identifying him. Once it recognizes him, it lies quiet as he steps on the planks. It's well made and tightly woven magic, because of course it is. Hecate doesn't do sloppy work. He runs a hand over the prow of the boat, checking that the lantern swinging from the end hasn't rusted out. Everything seems fine. And he can rest easy that no one is going to be even stepping foot on his boat, let alone taking it anywhere. She was right, of course. Charon hadn't taken a vacation from his duties since the day he was born, it was high time he did so.

He cast a glance back at the banks of the river. It was empty now, but that could change in the blink of an eye. He shrugged mentally and sighed, scuffing at the ground with the toe of his shoe. No one had remembered him before, it was unlikely they'd miss him now. And even if they did, he'd be on a beach far away by the time they connected the dots.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be on a beach in Bermuda for the next week. Sun and sand and fruity drinks. Sounds like an excellent place to be in the winter.

These headaches really need to stop. I don't think it's quite migraine level yet but damn. Anyone have a unique remedy for headaches that feel like someone is jackhammering your temple?

Though I do know a really cute boy with the most adorable goats. Goat therapy is a thing right? lol

It is also feeling stifling in here, I need to get out and do... something. What in the city should everyone see? Thoughts? I love playing stay at home tourist, and I'm down for just about anything.

It wasn't diffiult to find Mount Olympus. Of course it wasn't. It was right there. But the difficult part, or Zeus and Hera had figured, would be opening the gates. Because surely Kronos and his ilk had done something to keep them out. Barred them, at best. Destroyed them, and the rest of Olympus at worst. Needless to say it was surprising that they were able to easily (well, relatively speaking) find and open the gates to their home.

It was even more surprising when they saw that, for the most part, it was mostly intact. There was still damage from the war, but, the buildings were still there. The palaces were still there. Everything was still there. Untouched. There had been a slight rumble when the King and Queen first entered. But, really, Zeus had just thought that it was due to the gates opening - it had taken a little force and they had shook as they opened, after all.

The tingling in his body, though. That was new. And Hera was feeling it too. It sort of felt like an odd vibration running through them. It felt like it was running through the entire area. Kind of like their home was coming back to life with their presence; welcoming them back. The door to their palace was pushed open, and when it was, there was what he could only call a shockwave that erupted from it and hit them full force.

Both of them staggered back and, while he didn't feel like his old self, there was something new and different; yet very familiar all at the same time. "Did you feel that?" He looked over at Hera, and he could have swore she was glowing slightly. Was she? Maybe? He didn't know. Was he? All he knew that he was home. They were home.

He also knew that there was a very strong scent of ozone, and a moment later, there was a loud peal of thunder and the skies lit up with lighting. And he knew that he'd caused it. He just smiled and looked over to Hera. Things were going to start looking up for them - all of them - he was sure of it.


Awakened Olympians and Allies

Olympus is once more open to us. All of us.



(OOC NOTE: So, with the re-opening of Olympus, those Olympians (allies, anti-titan, w/e) that have already awakened have regained some of their abilities and strength. They're still not anywhere near full strength, but...



Also, those Olympians that are not awake, this hasn't awakened them, but, it has jostled them a little bit. Still feel free to wake them up on your own terms, but, maybe they've started to get the headaches and dreams that preceded the others waking up.
