I am weak! I can't be trusted! A mentioned Hathor one too many times in the chat and so here she is!

She's living in LA right now but when I get my butt into gear and get some other plots moving, I'll move her to NYC to see the only other Egyptian here and also meet up with plenty old friends.

Hey, do you wanna be Hathor's old friend? She's very friendly, and I don't just mean that in a porny way. As well as being a love/sex/beauty goddess, she's also the goddess of joy. Just straight up joy, so what's not to love there? Music and dancing and drinking and parties, these are all literally her areas of worship so come plaaaaay. (I mean, really, she's the goddess of Basically Everything but you gotta narrow it down sometimes. There's not many quarrymen in game for her to watch over.)

And if anyone's looking to pick up an Egyptian, Hathor sure does love her Sekhmet sister, lion goddess of war and healing...

Anyway, as well as being the sexiest damn love/sex/beauty goddess in the Norse pantheon that every giant in the land was like HOT DAMN! over, Freyja is the goddess of magic. She knew it before the other gods and taught it to them, and they in turn taught it to mankind.

She's about to move to NYC to be with her brother after ten years of living in Washington. Currently she'll be a lady of leisure until I decide what her new job is.

Gimme old friends! She's very warm and loving, so people are her jam. You can come meet her dumb cat, Honkers!

This is Theo! She is the daughter of Erato, but was raised by Calliope and blessed by her as a baby (since Calliope does that shit with babies.) She moving back to NYC because her marriage has collapsed and she's kindly letting the wife keep the city/the friends/the band. Very darn generous, Theo thinks.

She will be opening a cake shop eventually, but currently is going to be an unemployed lump on her mother's couch.

A lot of the Greek gods will know her, because she spent her childhood trying to be the centre of attention in every single room. Hey, she follows after her bio mum in that regard.

Announcing some character drops, but since I never play any of them they're not really going to effect anyone. But figured I should let you know. Anyway, I'm dropping Paimon, Brigit, Mona Kearney and Euterpe. (but totally keeping the UK version of Euterpe, shhhhh.)

I will edit the cast pages in the next couple days because there are a LOT to add by now. I've been slack. (Again if you have any on there that needs editing/any drops you've made let me know and I'll do those at the same time)

He owns a Bronx funeral home that has been around since 1920s and originally served only the black community. (Because I watched a SUPER fascinating doco bit about the black funeral homes in that era and have become desperate for the idea of a TV show set around that, but since I cannot have that I will just steal it tangentially here.) As far as mortals are concerned the family has been owned by the same 'family' since then, but it's really just Anubis (and his daughter when she feels like being there!)

Anubis doesn't mind that he's worked the same job in the same place for so long, because he's a very settled kind of person. He likes predictability, and ritual, and everything being in its place. His funeral home is very well maintained, as are his nice suits.

First up is Cassandra, doomed prophetess of Troy who is half the time absolutely bonkers and half the time a scared teenage girl who need to be treated with care. Either way she's usually confusing to have a conversation with. Her curse still holds true mostly, although it's effect on immortals isn't as strong. But generally if she tells you doom is coming, even if she's obvious, you'll suddenly not believe it.

Secondly, I have the mortal daughter of Hermes, Erica. She's going to be the manager at Diogenes and making sure that place keeps running well. She canonically has three daughters but since one of them was played by me and I dropped her and the other two players left, if anyone wants to play one of her kids hit me up.

If you had plots with either of these guys before I dropped them, I'm cool with it all remaining. (If you had plots you want to now drop, lemme know and we can!)

I've got so many ridiculous apartments saved and not enough filthy rich characters to live in them!

God, I've just been on a making (a remaking) spree so this post is crazy. But I wanted to make sure I threw up an intro for them all anyway, even though some are old.

First up

1. This is Makaria. She was in game for aaaaages so most of you already know her. I'm keeping all previous backstory so if you had something with her it still stands. She's still an innocent little lamb trying to navigate the world of the living, and will be excited to see her mama after so long.

2. Next is Brigid, who is a combination of both the Celtic goddess Brigit and Saint Brigid - she usually makes it work and lives in peaceful middle ground, but occasionally she blacks out and one takes over fully. I had her in game waaaaaay long ago, but if you had anything with her then it still stands.

3. Paimon, hell demon who is a massive nerd for all things earth/climate science, because that's what people used to summon her for. People don't summon so much anymore, so she works as an NYU professors to scratch that itch - and tries to convince struggling students to sell their souls to solve any problems.

4. Mortal Mona Kearney. She's an Australian running a tea shop in Manhattan. She's very into kindness as a concept for making the world a better place, and I don't really know what I plan to do with her yet other than meet some people who like tea. She knows all about the supernatural world (her parents are gods, but no one can tell), so I'd love her to already know some peeps. Her shops been around for quite a few years.

Anyway, I'm saying that he's spent the last year in Charleston SC having followed a beautiful woman there originally. Then when that fizzled out after a few months, he decided to stay on for a bit. Surely you've been following his instagram? He posts lots of pictures of parties and live mini concerts from his bathroom - is has the best acoustics - and playing gigs in bars? You all watched those, right, fellas?

Anyway, shall make a post for him after I've made a cup of tea!

This is Amphitrite, queen of the sea and wife of Poseidon. Despite who her husband is, she's plenty pleasant to be around. She saves most of her venom for him because he loves it. She's got her hubby's back all the way though, so no use trying to turn anything there.

She is about to arrive back in the city after being away for about six months for Reasons. I'd love to have some backstory with people and her. She used to be around for ages, after all, so she'll certainly have some friends about.

Don't know, we'll see, but here's Morgan le Fay. She's a troublemaker with a bad temper, but she promises she's not all bad. Especially if you're not from Camelot.

I don't know if we're really here enough for me to justify new characters but....

I have made Lust who is here to join the sins - Finally! I have a sin! Living the dream! - and will generally be awful with her siblings. I'm still thinking about her job, but I'll think of something!

I also have Urania, muse of astronomy, who will honestly probably get used by me a lot to talk about space facts. Are any of her sisters around?

If you had plots with any of the previous incarnations let me know and I'll see what I want to keep.

I have updated the cast list, by which I mean I deleted everything and started from scratch using a new layout that will be 600 times easier/quicker for me to edit in future. I've been putting that off for ages because I knew it would be a task, but now it's done!

(Lara, if you're ever editing it it should be very self explanatory and I've even left notes hidden in the coding to help you)

But I think I've got everyone's characters added/removed/edited as we wanted them, but please let me know if not! It's very likely I've fucked something up somewhere!

What starts as a goddess, turns into a queen, and ends up as a fairy?

That would be Madb!

(That layout may look nice but, holy wow, did it take forever to edit.)

Madb (pronounced like 'Maeve', which is the anglicized version) was an ancient goddess of war, sexuality, and wealth. By the time Christianity came into the land she was more of just a morally grey* warrior queen.

Her bio is loooong, I'm sorry, and has lots of Irish names thrown about, but I couldn't break it down anymore than it was. So Teal-Deer: She was the queen of an area of Ireland and took a LOT of lovers and husbands and made them her king, and she did some cool things (like refuse all the men who came courting until she found one who was 'without avarice, without jealousy, without fear') and some uncool things (like drown her 9-months pregnant sister who was knocked up with her ex-husband's child).

So, you know, she's a mixed bag.
