Since we didn't have a resource post for Japanese gods, I thought I'd go ahead and make one!

Lara wanted suggestions for cool Egyptian gods, and especially ones that might be related to Anubis since I'm making him. But the list is too long to send over chat, so I make it a post!

Have some Egyptian gods! This is mostly an edited version of my old Egyptian page, but made better and more informative. So... use this one instead if you're looking at that dumb old list!

To make Alan's one-sided message I just cut the code up and used it like I've posted below. You can copy and paste the message section as many times as you like, just make sure it goes above the /div /lj-raw bit.

I really love the Etruscans, you guys, but they don't exactly have the wealth of info available that most of the other mythologies have. So he's my quick overview and a list of gods we could possibly play *whistles*

For all those that play Norse (and for any of those considering picking up a Norse) I found online possibly the best book on the Norse gods I've read. It's Myths of the Norsemen by H. A. Guerber, and so far I've only read the Idunn chapter and a few other sections, but there's information in it that I haven't seen online which is always great.

Hope some others enjoy it/get some use out of it as well.

Hey there, Nevermore! With our influx of delicious new blood, I thought this might be a useful post to have. Our Fearless Leader agreed, because she is secretly a sockpuppet of mine.

So, this is the General Character Information post, for things that are not immediately obvious about your character from their app/bio but you still feel might be important for people to know. This includes things like powers, if they have children not associated with their myths, and in-game canon and mythology. Some examples of in-game canon and mythology: what's the difference between Satan and Lucifer? Does X Character feel any connection to the gods from other pantheons that they're sycnretized or affiliated with? Why aren't these two characters speaking to each other? Did Y and Z hook up during the Black Plague because they figured the world was ending? It might also be a good place to list any random bits of canon that for them that you've come up with.

This is totally not mandatory, and there's no reason to do it for all your characters if some of them don't have any particular backstory or non-obvious info, or you don't feel like doing it at all!  Also, this is meant to be ongoing, so don't feel any rush to get all your characters or information here if you do want to list them. Things can be changed or updated throughout the RP, and can be as detailed or brief as you'd like. I'll listing George and Satan for sure if you want an example, but they aren't meant to be templates.

Feeling kind of weird so I decided to look up weird things on the internet despite the fact that I need absolutely no new characters ;) I am sharing anyway because chances are I WILL choose someone random to make and you all should suffer too ;) (I mean I LOVE you...)

EDIT: I am going to add that these lists are mostly pretty badly researched. I linked them for inspiration and brainstorming and not to be used as actual resources. If you like the sound of one, it's probably better to read up on them in other places.
