Nevermore } out of character

Hey you guys! Quick intro here! This is Rhode. Baby girl to Poseidon and Amphitrite, or others depending on the myth but here we're going with Poseidon and Amph but she remembers being raised by several different people. So it's very confusing at times. Either way, she's a sea nymph and can produce a fin when she's in the ocean. She was also married to Helios, whom she hasn't seen in years. She's here to try and convince her dad to stop flooding everything. WHO THINKS THAT'S GOING TO WORK?

HEY! Just a quick bringing-back-this-character post.

And that character would be Agares: a great duke of hell who is listed in a couple different places as the second among the demons and leads 31 legions of demons. He taught language (though more often it was foul language and poor behavior), stopped and retrieved runaways, caused enemies to flee, caused earthquakes, gave noble titles, and he could make people "stand still" which is believed to be more in the sense that he's ruined their career. Everything he does he does for a price, and much of the time it's something the conjurer doesn't want to give up. He can appear as either an old man riding a crocodile with a hawk on his fist, on a cockatrice, OR as a beautiful young, fair-haired and fair-skinned woman with angels wings. So he's an arrogant bastard much of the time, all with a charming smile on his face. It's said he's soft-spoken and appears friendly. He's given several other names, and he's said to have been opposed by the angel Jelial (so someone pick him up so they can FIGHT). So essentially, he's nice enough, but it's all to get you to do what he wants. He's charming, smooth, has a friendly smile, and he gets others to do his more violent work. Though he's not above beating someone and getting blood no his hands. He uses words to destroy someone and just sits back and enjoys the show.

He's also here to have a throw down with Ose because that bitch stole his penthouse and all his credit cards. I'm going with he had to "travel for business".

Heeey! So just a quick update. I'm bringing back Harmonia, at this journal. She's Aphrodite's and Ares' baby girl who later got cursed by freaking Hephaestus, which subsequently continued throughout hers and Kadmos' offspring and on. So she no like you, Hephaestus! For obvious reasons she doesn't trust people very easily and she's incredibly suspicious of any gifts. SO anyone up for playing her hubby Kadmos? =D

I'm also bringing back Echo parrotting because shenanigans have presented themselves which has reawoken the muse. I'm up for keeping whatever backstory I had with her because that's a lot of plottage I've put her through.

So big news on my end. I only have six night shifts left and then I'll start working days! I can't freaking wait to go back to sleeping at night like a normal human! No more zombie!Angela!! Two weeks, you guys! *happy dance* And last night at work I finally did something I hadn't done yet even though I've been there nearly two years: deliver a baby. I'm usually good at getting the doc there on time, but circumstances required that baby be delivered STAT so I caught a freaking baby! And I wasn't nervous at all like I thought I'd be!

Anywhooooo if anyone wants to do the things let me know! I just finished three shifts and go back for three more on Tuesday, but I'm around albeit slow!

HEYO again. Just a quick re-intro for a couple of old chars I had a while back.

First is my lovable and completely mad Lyssa. She's the Nyxspawn of rage, fury, raging madness, frenzy, and rabies in animals. She's a little nutty~ She'll feel much more at home once her sister Mania shows back up. Until then. Nyx has taken her in for now, because Lyssa does not do well on her own.

Second is Pasiphae. Daughter of Helios (HEYA DAD), wife of Minos, mother to Ariadne and Phaedra, unfortunate victim of Poseidon's wrath because someone (Minos) wouldn't sacrifice the Cretan Bull as instructed by the sea king. So as tradition would require poor Pasiphae was put under a spell so that she lusted after the Bull. While she did attempt to fight the curse, she eventually lost and wham bam Asterion! SO Pasiphae is the mother of the most famous of all the minotaur's ever! OH btw, so Minos was totes unfaithful because Greeks amirite? So Pasiphae is a witch and put a spell on him so that whenever he ejaculated inside any woman except herself, instead of semen it sent snakes, scorpions, and millipedes into the bitch that was sleeping with her husband. SO THERE'S THAT. Her career says she's a teacher, but I'ma be changing that to some sort of witchcraft related business. I dunno, something like a Wiccan store but not actually Wiccan.

SO HERE THEY ARE. Lyssa is one of my all-time faves to play, and Pasiphae just has too much screwed up baggage not to play.

WHAT'S UP?

Angela here with Anaisa Pye. She's the Vodun Loa of love, luck, money, and happiness. Overall, she's very pleasant and friendly and a big, stinkin' flirt. So yes, she is totes flirting with your man because she can. On the other hand, she can also be super jealous of other female immortals because she hates it when they're getting all the attention and she's not. Her feast day is July 26, so expect her to be very loud about that because it's only her favorite day ever.

HEY GUYS!

So I'm exhausted because I just got home from a ridiculously busy shift at work (this pretty much sums up my feelings when I was trying to leave this morning... also this.... and this... I'm done, I swear), but I wanted to intro Sif before I go pass out on the couch for a few hours. She's Thor's wife, has lots of like ~happy~ associations and she loves warm weather so she's not too ecstatic Spring isn't acting the way it should. She's a botanist for the NY Botanical garden, so come round and see all the pretty flowers and plants, and Sif! =D

And I know I didn't officially announce I was dropping her, but I've decided to go ahead and bring back Agrat Bat Mahlat wicked_thing, who would very much like to play with anything with two legs and a penis.

Anywho. I'm friggin exhausted and about to pass out. PEACE.

Hey all! This is Death, of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I think she's pretty self-explanatory. She mostly sticks to the other Horsemen, but she has mad respect for the angels and thinks they're alright. But for the most part she doesn't believe she answers to anyone but God. For now she's pretending to be a hospice nurse, and has surprisingly good bedside manner.

She's a peach.

Hey guys! Intro time~

First I've got Will Scarlet, infamous bad boy from Robin Hood's band of Merry Men. He's claimed the title of most skilled swordsman in all of Sherwood Forest and wants to make sure you know that. He loves a good joke and it's pretty rare not to see a smile on his face, so much so he may crack a joke at inappropriate times. He's a lovable guy, he just hasn't learned how not to be complete little boy at times. Other Merry Men would be lovely.

Next I've got Morgan le Fay, who is probably the exact opposite of Will. She's here to torment Gwen (and Arthur when he shows back up). She still retains a fair amount of her magic but she's not nearly as powerful as she used to be, but she's not about to admit how much that pisses her off. So more Arthurians would be nice!

Who wants to play/plot/talk backstory/etc? =D

Hey all! Just a quick intro. I'm bringing back my Iris. She's basically the Olympians messenger of old. She personifies the rainbow (OH and her hair changes colors based on her mood). She also has a twin sister named Arke, who was the messenger for the Titans, so they were on opposite sides of the Titanomachy. These days she works for Hera, though she's more of an errand girl than anything, but she does still send messages for the Olympians whenever they need her. Which now isn't very often since they can just do whatever the heck they want when they want.

She was married to the god Zephyros, and before that she was Morpheus' consort. So if anyone wants to pick either of them up (particularly Morpheus cause he rocks) that would be FAB! There would also be some awkward silences because she and Hypnos have an on-again-off-again flint on occasion, though not so much now with Pasithea around.

ANYWHO. Love you guys!

Ohai again! Another quick intro:

First is Thessalonike, Alexander the Great's half-sister. Her history is basically her looking up to her big brother and being raised by Olympias as her own because Thessaly's mom died not long after her birth. After Macedon was conquered by Cassander, Olympias was executed and Cassander married Thessaly which made him king of Macedon for a while. They had three sons and after Cassander died their son Philip took over but Thessaly was all "Whoooooa there, buddy. Why don't all three of you share the throne?" They did, which pissed off Antipater and he killed Thessaly. And then there's the story that she's a mermaid cause Alexander got this immortal water and washed her hair in it, making her immortal herself. So when Alex died, Thessaly threw herself into the sea to kill herself and that didn't work and she became a mermaid.

And also bringing back Hera. Kinda going with her being a little less of a bitch these days because of Roman influence.

I'm up for past lovers, BFF's, and the like for Thessaly.
WHO WANTS TO WRITE? =D

HEY hey hey! Just me introing a character. This is Orestes. He's the son of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra (although he's completely disowned his mother at this point) and past-husband to Hermione. Long story short:

Orestes was promised Hermione's hand in marriage (either by Menelaus or her grandfather), when his father returned from Troy his mothers lover (Aegisthus) murdered Agamemnon while Orestes was off in his uncles kingdom for a visit which turned into longer than a vacay because of said murder, when he was old enough he returned home with his cousin Pylades in order to kill his mothers lover, so they kill Aegisthus and Clytemnestra, the Furies hear about it and make him go caraaaaaaay cray for a while, Neo comes along and takes Hermione away while Orestes is out of his mind and he's all "Noooooooooo my future wife!" (cause Menelaus is a dirty cheat who went back on his word and told Neo he could have her - Orestes' words, yo), Athena and Apollo intervene and acquit him, he's not crazy anymore (though sometimes he is), he goes to Neo's place and takes back Hermione cause taking ladies is not cool (note this did not end in a 10 year war because Orestes knows how to get shit done), they return home and live a decent life until he dies from a snakebite in Acadia. YAY!

So I'm super stoked to play him. Partly because Santiago is gorgeous and I like getting distracted by him, but also because he's my first hero! He mostly sticks to himself and doesn't make a whole lot of friends, but those he does consider friends have a pretty good guy to back them up. He will never leave anyone hanging because of moral codes (DAMN THEM) and whatnot, which will inevitably get him into some deep shit at some point.

He hates Menelaus and Helen. He thinks a lot of crap could have been spared if Menelaus had just let Helen go. He feels like it's their fault all that horrible stuff happened to him and Hermione. Basically, he just needs someone to blame for all the sad and woe from his past. They seem pretty good scapegoats.

His #1 enemy is Neo, of course.

He's terrified of the Furies. So this should pose some potentially deliciously evil plots, my Fury-mun friends!

He can be a little particular about who he spends his time with. Who am I kidding? He's very particular. I would like to see him grow and make some close friends outside of family, but be warned it will take time because he has major trust issues due to the hell he went through. THAT BEING SAID, I would love to get him out there and plotting. =D

My character wish list for him: His sisters Electra and Iphigenia (he would be pretty damn happy to see both of them, but the latter sister he would be pretty happy to see alive and walking around cause he feels like her death was in vain), Agamemnon, Pylades, Clytemnestra (lots of tension to be had with this one).

GUYS. Work just about killed me the last two weeks. Between patients and doctors trying to throw us nurses under the bus for advocating for our patients safety, how insanely busy it's been, and the unnecessary inductions/C-sections before 40 weeks without medical indications (the holidays are not a medical indication to induce someone!), I AM DARN TIRED. The next person to say, "But Angela, you only work three days a week!" is getting throat punched. You have no idea what those 12+ hr shifts entail, and it always ends up at least 13 hrs. Plus I work night shift, live 40 minutes from work, and wake up by 3 pm to pick up my kids from school. I'm lucky if I get home before 8, but I crash pretty hard when I get home. I am not a nocturnal creature so even after over a year of working nights I'm still not used to it. It's better, but I can't do this forever. The other day I was so overworked I slept right through my alarm and was woken up by my husband knocking on the bedroom door, which scared me and had me thinking someone had broken in and I was about to die. So there's that. One shift before shift change I actually started a baby IV for the first time, and I'm pretty damn proud of myself because I got it on the first try AND the IV stayed in for over 2 days which is a miracle because baby IVs tend to infiltrate or get pulled out by 24 hours.

Long story short, I am tired but I'm off through Christmas Eve! I asked for this time off back in August so if work tries to call me I'll be acting like my phone has the plague. Not that I don't already do that on regular days~ I may be a little scarce cause I feel like I haven't seen my husband and kids much lately because of work, but I am around! I'm cleaning today and we have a busy weekend ahead of us so chances are I won't be able to update anything, but I am here at least! Remind me of all the things I'm supposed to be doing with whoever, because my brain is fried. <3

Hey! Just updating to bring back a couple of characters.

First is Aletheia speaktruth She was created by Prometheus and represented truth, truthfulness, and sincerity. She's always seen Prometheus as a father figure. She tends to get overwhelmed by the amount of lying and scandal that happens in the city, so when it gets to be too much she disappears into the country to regenerate. Her opposite is Apate, so a fun love/hate relationship would be nice!

Next is Phaedra fedra She's the daughter of King Minos and sister to Ariadne, and the wife of Theseus who he actually kept around. That is until Theseus' son Hippolytus refused to worship Aphrodite which pissed her off so she cursed Phaedra by making her fall in love with Hippolytus. She tried resisting for a while, but that eventually failed. Hippolytus refused her advances and that resulted in Phaedra telling Theseus his son had raped her even though he did no such thing. Then Phaedra realized what happened and killed herself, and Theseus killed his son. So lots of fun times, as is Greek tradition! She's basically been traveling around, finding people to take advantage of, draining older desperate men of their money. She's back and has a surprise for dear old Theseus~

And as a side note, I'm changing Leto's PB to Jacinda Barrett.

Hey hey hey! This is Aloysia Weber, older sister to Constanze. She was a love interest of Mozarts way back in the way but she rejected him and he basically said "kiss my ass". So there was some animosity for a while but they eventually got along again. She made a career out of being an opera singer and sang soprano. She also had a reputation of being difficult to work with. These days she's basically the same nag-bitch she was before. So Stanzi is going to have some major mixed feelings. She also LOVES actors and musicians and only dates them, so if you have one to spare for like a month or two just for her to attempt to seduce that would be very much appreciated. <3

HEYA! Just a quick intro. This is Praxidike, Greek goddess/daimona of exacting justice. She's the leader of the Praxidikai, which consists of her, and her daughters Arete and Homonoia and together they basically follow the Fates orders for any justice that needs doing. There's no definite recollection of who her parents are, but some people think she might be Zeus' kid. She also has a son named Ktesios. And all her kiddos were fathered by the god Soter (safety). So you can see this fam is safety-oriented~ Anywho, she's back and excited to see her baby girl Homonoia again and the Fates cause they're basically her bosses and she has nothing but respect for them!

Heeey! Just introing a new character and bringing back an old one.

First is Xochiquetzal, Aztec goddess of lots of things: Beauty, female sexual power, youth, fertility. She was also a protector of young mothers, and a patron of pregnancy, childbirth, weaving, and embroidery. So lots of things dear to her heart. She was originally married to the god Tlaloc before Tezcatlipoca decided to abduct her and force her to marry him (from that she gave birth to Cintéotl), and at some point she was married to Centeotl, Xiuhtecuhtli, and Piltzintecuhtli (who was also Xochipilli). She may or may not have been married to Mixcoatl at one point, but through him she supposedly became Quetzalcoatl's momma (so she basically sees him as her sometimes-son, but loves him like that all the time). Her twin brother was Xochipilli, and headcanon has these two very close so I would love to plot these two for anyone wanting to pick him up~ She encouraged sex more for pleasure than for making babies, but if a baby was the product of said sexual encounter fantastic! She's supposed to be followed by a shit-ton of colorful birds and butterflies, and she's richly adorned in bright colors flowers and feathers. Overall she's pretty pleasant, but she likes to test people's devotion to her. She could also absolve humans of their sins, which has an interesting ritual to it. Her bio has a lot more fun kinda stuff in it to read away!

AND I'm bringing back Guinevere, infamous wife of King Arthur of Camelot and supposedly the ruin of said kingdom. You know the main story. She's not too interested in seeing any of the other Camelot people, which means you all need to bring them back/in!

HEEEEYYY!! I'm back! We had a great drive. No one got sick, which is a miracle! I had even bought all these hospital grade barf bags in preparation for sicky kids. So maybe they like the straighter roads better than all the curvy-AF ones around here.

Anywho, I ended up stalking the friends page so I KIND OF have an idea what's been going on, but if there's anything pertinent to any of my kiddos let me know! It's good to be back in my own house and I can't wait to write again! I missed you guys!

Hey all! Just giving a heads up that we're going on our road trip starting Wednesday. So I'll be virtually nonexistent starting tomorrow while I get ready until mid June. If I get a chance I'll pop in and check the f-list and maybe tag here and there, and maybe update journals if I'm able.
