OWEN MACFARLANE
Bairn's first book launch. What's the dress code? Anything I need to know? Ink magnates you need taken care of?
I've got an appointment Friday morning so I'll be a wee bit late.ALEC URQUHART:
I need your opinion on something.
Following our previous discussion on the wearing of Uplift pink, I'm announcing our agreement that players are permitted and even encouraged, if they are so moved, to wear pink for the Caerphilly match, but they are not required to. Also that Graham and Terry Edevane of the Catapults are talking about this as a joint exercise for the two teams.
Owen, please be ready to assist with league-approved methods of decorating brooms, uniforms, and accessories. I know this is short notice, but I have faith in you.
Anybody else who has questions or comments, let me know, and if necessary I can add to or amend my message to the team. Thanks.
Team:
This is to let you all know that management and ownership are aware of the discussions in the league following on the incident at the Falmouth/Wigtown match, and further to that, the show of support for Muggleborns that has resulted during this bloc.
Mr Urquhart is speaking with Mr Edevane of the Catapults so that Portree and Caerphilly players and staff can jointly express their support by wearing pink along with their regulation uniforms. Any player or staff member who wants to wear pink will receive help in accessorising in ways that meet League regulations. You don't have to charm it on your own.
That having been said, there is no requirement to wear pink and anyone who does not feel it appropriate to wear pink for whatever reason does not have to. If you do feel it appropriate, I personally encourage you to do so. If you're not sure, please feel free to talk to me about it. I can explain my own reasons for doing so. If they're not good enough for you, or you don't feel moved, we're square. It will make no difference in how Coach MacFusty or I coach or play you.
Thanks for your attention to this matter. Please feel free to speak to me or Coach MacFusty with any questions.
Portree management is in for pink for the Caerphilly match. I just announced it to the team and we'll see how it goes. I think we'll get some support and some pushback but I'm hoping most of the players will go for it.
I imagine we'll be seeing more than a few changes happening in the coming weeks and months here at DOMGAS.[...]I don't suppose you've heard anything at all about how
It's not as if it's a bad thing if they did take over management of Lamb and Rannoch but... I've worked hard keeping them up to standard and all, and... ugh, I know it's all new and there's no telling what'll happen but I hate the not knowing.
Just have to hope this doesn't all turn into some big complicated mess.
So how's my favourite older brother doing?
It's been brought to my attention that people tend to celebrate their own birthdays at least once per year. With that in mind, this Thursday evening I'll be attending McTavish's panto and then having a late supper and drinks at the Gargoyle, after which I'll be able to stumble up to my bed.
If you'd like to join me in the celebration of my alleged date of birth, or my regained ability to walk on two entire legs, [...] show up, I suppose, because I'll be doing this whether or not you're there.
Though it may be more enjoyable with you there.
May.
Beginning in February, I will be picking up mediwitch shifts at St. Mungo's in my time off. It will only happen outside of my hours with Portree and will not interfere with my work at the club. MacFarlane's[i'll make a teensy bday ic/ooc thursday but it's going to be like... lowest effort ever. 🤘]alreadysigned off on my moonlighting endeavour, but if you have any additional concerns, please don't hesitate to bring them up.
1. Coach MacFusty has aggravated an old Quidditch injury and is taking a short leave of absence to get it taken care of. While she's gone, both Lorna as the captain and Alasdair as a vice-captain will be leading practices. Cav will be attending each one as well in case anything's needed.
2. Luag MacFusty has chosen to also take a leave of absence for the rest of the season from his beater position due to some family matters and Cav is currently working out logistics regarding that open position.
3. A reminder that players and staff should not be discussing staffing changes, leaves of absences, player changes, etc. with the press and to point any press in the direction of Gwen as needed. He also asks that if anyone is approached by the press to please notify Gwen that it happened.
4. Finally, he reminds everyone that his office door is always open in the event that any player or staffmember have a concern regarding anything, from team relationships, personal training and growth, etc.
