What: Kal was injured
When: Sunday March 11 | evening
Where: Kal’s Flat
Warnings: F for Fluff
My family has expressed interest in coming out to the Wigtown match on Sunday. I believe some of you may have met them at the Solstice Sprint. They have a limited working knowledge of the sport, but want to come see me play to support me. Especially as they are not able to join me in Sweden.[//WARD to MONTROSE ALL]
My father is an engineer and will bore anyone and everyone with maths and physics questions about quidditch. It also my niece’s first birthday. She is adorable and may steal your birthday thunder, Florrie. I am sorry.
Pye, I had an interesting meeting the other day with Fraser Macmillan. I had asked if the Macmillan Foundation would be willing to support a Mental Health Practice at the Montrose Free Clinic, specializing in War Trauma. There is a lack of training programs and specialists to treat the issues are facing as a community and I think this could be a solid solution.[//WARD to AUGUSTUS PYE]
I know you deal in the other kind of trauma, but can you think of anyone who might be interested to sit on a committee to make this happen or even serve as director?
This is just in the idea phase right now, but there is momentum. I want to capitalize.
I met with Fraser Macmillan on behalf of Montrose ownership and the Macmillan Foundation. Uplift is going to be entering into a partnership with them, hopefully to start a mental health practice at the Montrose Free Clinic. I think we can all agree that this is something we need.[//WARD to MONTE & JUSTIN]
I have also asked that someone either among ownership or BIQL publicly come out against what happened with Flint.
If you feel comfortable, I would appreciate if you accepted the invitation. I think it could give a good amount of weight to our movement.
I have been having some interesting conversations. What do you think QUABBLE can do to address hostile work environments in the league? Specifically with bullying among players. The Flint incident is not an isolated event, but surely there needs to be policy in place. Thoughts? Anything in the works?[//WARD to DUNBAR]
You're about to enter a [...] trying week. Aye, I'm aware that each of you is a professional, but that doesn't shield you from overexertion.Beginning tomorrow I'll be picking up some evening shifts at St. Mungo's, but I'll still be at the clubhouse during office hours if you need anything, as well as attending the late practices. If you think you're ill or overextending yourself, or if you have any questions, please come speak with me. I'd prefer to help you avoid injury than experience it first-hand. This goes for the regular season as well.
- When you get home at night, sleep instead of party. Doze when you can.
- Drink
as much water as you cplenty of water. You have no excuse not to.- Don't drink alcohol (it's one week. You'll survive.)
- Eat well — your body will need the fuel. I've
given a list oasked the cooks to ensure there will be more smaller, nutritious meals and snacks for when you don't have the time for a complete meal, and MacFusty and I have arranged that there's always a hearty lunch waiting for you.
[#5 is added after Lorna's reply:]- Please don't die.
Parkinson's been a model player as far as his healing but I'm not keen on the idea of him playing the Harpies on the 20th after his concussion. MacFusty and Roberts have the report; my recommendation is to bench him. If all goes well he'll be back in the air in time to train for the match againstmythe Catapults.
I met the Bulgarian, no thanks to you.
Oh, and... 🎶 I know something you don't know... 🎶
The Thing came back the very next day.
The Thing came back, I hoped it was a goner,
But The Thing came back; it just wouldn't stay awaaa-aaaay.
"But Maggie," I hear you insist, "Just take it back to the shelter!"
I did.
The tribe has spoken. [...] Well, the gran has.
