[Cloaked within the dark night of the dome, the movements of a young girl goes near unseen as she moves through the park, regardless of the hour. She's not attempting to hide, no, though company isn't particularly wanted at the moment. The color in her normally deep, brown gaze is tinted a reddish hue that bleeds into the usual soft color. Her chest rises and falls, too quick to be normal as she swallows the air as though it may cure her current plague.]

Hah -

[Her feet halt upon the frozen path, and her hand reaches out to rest upon a tree beside her. A sudden pang causes her to winch, and she kneels down, a hand clenching her chest, while the other wraps tight within her hair. Snowball fights, hot chocolate and visiting with new friends is fun and good but the activities have taken a toll. Much earlier than expected she was forced to retire as scent upon scent combined to remind her of the very thing she hasn't had in several days.

It's why she's broken free of the shelter to walk and hopefully clear her head. Perhaps she ought to move back to the manor she previously possessed before her disappearance. At least, separate from a place where so many humans are jam-packed, she won't be subjected to the constant and continual temptation that the scent of their blood brings. She has to remind herself that if the tablets are cleared, this won't be as painful, even if they are terribly ineffective at curing her thirst.

Throat dry and feeling parched, she swallows several times, but feels worse for the effort. At the back of her mind, she has to ignore the nagging voice of the beast within that becomes much louder in moments like these.]

So, we're starting with the psychological torture first? Different. Cute, even. I wasn't even sure you bothered with that down here.

[calm, confident, with only a slight quirk of an eyebrow to show for her exasperation. going to Hell, getting arrested -- such a drag, right? and she's certainly not hoarse and red-eyed from crying. she made damn sure of that before even touching the camera. even if she has no idea what's going on, she can still save face.

if her smile's a little on edge, you'll have to forgive her, but she's expecting this cosy little place to disappear in a puff of black smoke any second now.
]

Well then, if we're to communicate, then I suppose introductions are in order. You can call me Bela. And yourselves? [thin-lipped smile.] Come on, I'm guessing the idea is that we all bond over our damned souls now, yeah? Then after we've swapped all friendship bracelets, we can start flaying each other alive. If we're lucky, it might even be fun by that point.

And then Monopoly wasn't the only hoarder with a "Go Directly to Jail" card. Good to know.

[This teenage boy looks like he went five rounds with a patch of dirt. And lost. Battered appearance aside, he seems ready to go for a sixth round. The way he's fidgeting is also a dead giveaway of something being up and it also doesn't help that he's in prison. Tommy and prison? That didn't go so well the last time.]

I went through the entire place twice and what did I find? No exit in sight, that's what. Big surprise there. Anyone thinking third time's the charm? 'Cause at this point, I'm willing to try anything. I'll even bring down a building or two if it means grabbing the warden's attention.

[Normally cheeky Tommy isn't in the mood to fool around right now. Which is saying something. With his general dislike of prisons and the aftermath of Doom's attack, he seriously needed out.]

[Have a Tim. Have a Tim who does not look happy at all. If you're really good at reading people, you might be able to tell he looks a little worried and pretty upset too. He's being charged with murder? That's impossible, he'd never. But being charged with murder is a pretty big deal so he's really anxious although he's trying his hardest not to let that show.

It's not working very well.]

I have no idea where the Eloquois Ocean is and I don't care. I don't care if this place has a park or library or beach or ar- ... [Okay so he can appreciate an arcade.] I wouldn't care if there was even a stupid castle here. All I care about is where I can find a phone or something so I can call Bruce. You know, Bruce Wayne? Of Wayne Enterprises? One of the richest men in the country? My adopted dad? 'Cuz he's really not going to be happy when he finds out I've been thrown in jail and tied down with a stupid ball thing I can hardly walk around in. If you won't let me talk to him, then I want a lawyer!

I already was in juvie, I already did my time for all the stuff I did before, and I haven't done anything bad since then! [Let's... just leave the word 'illegal' out of this. >_>] All of these charges are bogus, especially the first one! ... Okay, so I did steal before but like I said, I already paid for that! But murder? I don't kill people. I never have and I never will. I wanna know where you're getting all this information from because it's wrong. I. Don't. Kill.

[It was before Acumen's announcements that Fuuma woke up that day and he could feel it. Kamui was gone. Of course. Acumen had been losing them one by one, so it was only a matter of time, he supposed. But even if he could feel it, he wanted to see too. Just to make sure. It wasn't like Sasuke would starve if Fuuma wasn't around to make breakfast.]

[The fact that the bots were working on removing things from the house was confirmation enough. It took a bit of work to shoo them away, but he didn't particularly want to watch all the signs that someone had lived there be removed. He shut the door to the house, just standing there for a long time, looking at everything. He eventually ended up sitting on the foot of the bed, lost in thought well beyond the morning announcements and all the chatter of new people arriving.]

[Being here had made no difference. Only now, that everyone else was gone, Fuuma wasn't done. His voice is flat, too even, when he speaks.]

"Kamui" and Subaru are gone.

[They had friends here, didn't they? Not that it mattered. He doesn't even know why he bothers to say it. Maybe he just can't think of anything else to do. Kamui would go back and die. Then Subaru would die in the ending of the world. That fake Acumen had placed in the world would die.]

[It had been foolish to think things could change.]

((OOC: Action for anyone that has reason to come find Fuuma. Otherwise just voice-ness.))

[Tim wasn't worried at first. Or, well, he was but he was confident it would just be a matter of getting out of this place one way or another and then deal with the consequences. He wasn't going to just sit and cry because his secret identity might have been compromised. It could also be a joke... come on- cloning? Really?

When he realized he couldn't just hack the network or the communicator to get in contact with Bruce or O or anybody... well, then he would be lying if he didn't admit to be slightly worried. Still, not freaking out for Robin. There were still options, there was always something to do, so he opted to get in contact with the other inmates of this so-called prison.]

Yo. Not to be annoying or anything because I know the machine already told me the basics but call me slow on the uptake, if you must.

I'm Alvin Draper. Could somebody fill me in? The hell is this place? And how and why did I even get here to begin with?

[Today is quieter around the shelter -- and there's less food. It's getting kind of cramped in here, isn't it? And boring. There are plenty of games and entertainments left over from the party, but everyone is gathered together and... finding things to do.]

[So what are you doing?]

[He had thought that once he moved out of the shelter, he wouldn't be forced to go back. Being shut in a smaller space with lots of people in the same area? He would pass. Just being cooped up in the prison itself was frustrating enough. And now Fuuma was stuck in here a second day. With being trapped in the same building, it did make it easy to notice someone missing... It seemed like just about everyone from Tokyo was being lost.]

[For the moment, he's stretched out on one of the sofas in the open areas, a small cat sleeping on his chest, while he reads a book. It looks like it came from the library, but they were locked in, weren't they? Either way, Fuuma doesn't look too enthralled with what he's reading.]

((OOC: Open to anyone who wants to bug him! The cat is Sasuke's, but Fuuma is babysitting for the moment. He can also teleport, so if you ask nicely, he might be willing to get people things.))

[Buffy can't sleep and all of this togetherness has been driving her nuts so she's in the dojo "working out". What she's really doing is bopping around to this song turned up loud enough to almost cover up the sound of her own loud singing. She probably looks fairly hilarious, swinging her hair around in what's typically known as the hair porn move--Miss Swift's signature move. Interrupt her, laugh at her, mock her taste, tell her to turn that damn music down]

Hey! Stop pushing, already. [the camera view is bouncing, but manages to show Komui being prodded by one of Acumen’s bots.] We were almost done! Just a few more adjustments.

[Gear is also being pushed, but mostly off screen] Come on, dude, we were right outside! It’s not like we were making a run to the rec center!

You’re standing in the way of scientific progress! This will not -- ow, stop that. I’m going, yeesh.

Dude, this bites. Hey--don’t poke the helmet!

It’s ridiculous is what it is -- hey, watch it! Stupid thing, who programmed you anyway? [Komui rubs at his rump, annoyed]

For real. [Gear’s glaring off in the direction of the bots, rubbing the sore spot on his back where it kept poking him] You’d think they would at least have let us turn it off.

[paaause] So... we fixed that power problem, didn’t we?

...Come on, bro, it only had enough power to last a few hours, right? [shrug. nothing too big just a foot or two.]

Well, yeah... before my adjustments... [ehehehe.... oops?] Well! There’s plenty of supplies in the shelter...

Wait. What? It can still be turned off right? [Ko, bro, you did not just say that.]

I think so! And anyway, if two feet of snow is fun, a little more would be extra fun! [who can argue with that?]

[The look on Gear’s face? They may have a problem. But he shakes it off with an uneasy laugh.] Yeah, right, it’ll turn off. It’s not like a few hours will overload it or anything. [He’s sounding a lot more confident than he is.]

((OOC: Komui’s dialogue is regular text, Gear’s dialogue is in green.

Snowed-in event is go! Starting tonight, massive amounts of heavy snow will be distributed everywhere, courtesy of Richie/Gear and Komui’s little snafoo. By the time the bots agree to let anyone out of the shelter, there’ll be between 8 and 10 feet of wet snow blocking you in. Enjoy, and don't forget to thank Komui and Gear for the lovely surprise~!))

[ early to bed means early to rise, though the (artifical) sun is already gaining height in the sky by the time vanessa departs from her temporary residence of last night. she's so relieved to finally be able to curl up on a bed that, while isn't hers, is at least familiar.

she's distracted, rightfully so, and probably wouldn't notice a ten-foot pole if it sprouted up two feet in front of her.

which is, of course, your cue to fling a snowball into her unsuspecting face, yes? ]

-------

[ later, when the front of her coat is wet and her mouth has been permanently glued into a thin line, she finally makes it back into the shelter, the loud stomps of her footsteps announcing her presence long before the sight of her does. the smart thing to do at this point would be to take a long, hot bath, but nope, vanessa's far too annoyed to do something as rational as that. instead, she's going to snag that last open chair, plant herself down in it, and glare.

best not look at her the wrong way, else you might be sacrificing your hearing for the rest of the day. ]

[The alarm she set the night before, to get up early today, maaaaybe suffered a snooze or two. So it's a little while until Steph finally gets up blearily, sometime before the bots start ushering people out of the dome. Because that would just not be a pleasant experience, as much as this girl is NOT a morning person at all. It's bad enough to often wake up reeling from dreams and all, to attempt to function like a normal person in the first place. HERE'S TO TRYING...

She grabs a bag with her batsuit and boots in it and sling it over her shoulder, stuffs herself in a coat + scarf ensemble and sets out, determined. Her hands are stuck deep in her pockets for warmth and effect.]

Brr.

[Also, talking to herself.]

Okay, Steph, this is gonna be our thing today. Just gonna hunt down one of these little bot dudes and find a different place to sleep for the night. Not freezing: priority number one.

Easy as pie. [Maybe she'll go back to sleep if this can get done now.]

[Sector 5 sees a lot of people over the course of a day. Many live there in houses or apartment complexes; many come there to shop for food or clothing; many come there to relax and have a meal; some even come for the entertainments offered by the bowling alley, the ice rink, or the Devil's Compass.]

[Everyone who might have passed through Sector 5 today is invited to thread out a chance encounter here, or a date, or a gathering of friends. Just tell everyone where your character is and what they're doing, and go!]

We're getting more snow? I think that's another new thing for me, I've never seen that sort of weather before. It's nice though even it's a bit cold...though from what I heard guess it's normal for this time of year?

About two weeks here already and I'm learning all sorts of different things that don't exist or that I was able to do back where I'm from, it's kind of fun in a way. [Raenef pauses, thinking about something for a moment. Currently he's in the library, kind of flipping through a notebook in his hand, for remembering this stuff mostly] Even these holidays, like Halloween that just passed by a couple of days ago-- we don't have anything like that.

Are there any other types of holidays coming up that I should know about? I think stuff like that might be useful to know.

[It took him a lot longer than it had before but it's done. And Gear sits back to happily stare at the little, oblonged robot beeping at him. The red light of the single camera flickers, almost like blinking.]

You know, as satisfying as it is to build things and know you did it right...when you're done, all you can ask yourself is: What next? And there's plenty of time to wonder around here. There is such thing as too much time, man.

[Is that some bitter-sweetness from one Gear? Maybe, but he has just the idea to fix this!]

So a question, everyone. What kind of things would you like to see in this place? Any machines Acumen hasn't built? Appliances that your world has that this place doesn't? Toys that would make this winter more fun? An automated snow-blower for your backyard? [He chuckles a little after the last part.]

[You are hereby treated to the sight of the most line-faced man imaginable, standing with his hands behind his back on some random street. Wait, you say, isn't this a little late for a newcomer post? Well, he's got a perfectly valid explanation to that. When he speaks, his voice is as flat and matter-of-factly as if he hadn't just found himself kidnapped and given a lifetime sentence at the bottom of a freaking ocean.]

I'd like to extend my thanks to whoever put together the information pamphlet. It's been… enlightening reading. [Beat.] For the gift basket as well. Thank you.

I've listened to the other newcomer posts and I believe I've correctly understood the basics. I have one question, however: what would be the quickest way of getting to know of any changes to our situation?

[Another – long – beat.] It's Owen Burnett, should anyone need or wish to contact me later. [That counts as being personable, right?]

[[OOC: So much for not spamming the comm. So yes, this is Puck, formally introducing his favourite OC to Marina in case he ever needs an alter ego. He's 100% human at the moment, but characters with such abilities may still see what's up. Just please don't out him in public?]]

Ooookay, joke's up, I'll bite. Jail? Seriously?--freaking hilarious, sure, and kind of. Elaborate for a "learned your lesson yet?" prank, should this turn out to be one. But hey. I can roll with it. The basket was a nice touch!

Even I have to cry I'm stumped on this one, though. Can't we call it a release on good behavior? I'll be a good girl from now on, won't do it again, promise? No fair trial aside [he-hem], these crimes are stretching just a little, and adding insult to injury... Who goes to prison for disobeying orders?

Right. Me, apparently.

[...]

[Shoulders slumping, Steph crouches down a little, showing herself still in her Batgirl suit, as she... pokes one of the bots of the sector she's been running around in, before it turns on her face and zips away.]

... I know, right? Tough crowd.

[Sigh. Anyone who wants to run into a purple vigilante on their sector of choice this morning is free to do so, she'll be doing the Batman and creepin' around until then. Or at least, until waffles are had.]
