WHO: Caitie and Maddie
WHAT: Half-drunk birthday shenanigans.
WHERE: Their room.
WHEN: Late late night, 01/15, early morning 01/16.
RATING: Medium for language and maybe a kiss.
Simply put, Caitie was still drunk. The party with everyone else had been a blast, even if there had been some tension with the two pair of people who didn't like each other in the same small room. She'd had a hard time reigning in her temper, the more she drank, but somehow, and by something that could only be considered a miracle, there had been no cruel words and no anger tossed between she and George. At least not on her behalf. It had been a fun evening, though, a better birthday than she expected. At first, Caitie had dreaded her birthday. Being attacked with one of the more vicious rumors on the stupid rumor blog thing, something she wasn't ready to admit publicly yet, had taken a toll on her mood lately. It wasn't like she was ashamed of liking girls. No one she'd told personally so far had made her feel bad about it, so why should she be? But she hadn't wanted to share it with everyone. Not yet. She knew there were some closed minded people around here, and those ones were the only ones who'd made her feel bad so far. A couple of the old people told her she was going to hell, and there had been a couple of other, minor backlashes. But for now, that didn't matter. Now, she was feeling pretty good. Everyone had just left, Chicklet and Ducklet (who had grown into a rather large pair of birds already) were sleeping in their cage, and the kittens had all curled up on either Maddie or Caitie's beds. Everything was settling down, but Caitie's booze-filled haze was preventing her from wanting anything to do with sleep quite yet. “So, my birthday didn't suck even close to as much as I thought it would,” she smiled a little bit. |
