"She doesn't really seem like the type, but maybe she just wanted to make her dumb old boring life interesting," Caitie rationalized. "Think one of us should give security an anonymous tip or something?" Because if they tried to do it face to face, they'd never be taken seriously.
Caitie snorted a laugh. "I remember one time, when I was younger? Everett cut the toes off all my toe socks. We were having a prank war and I think my mom was about to blow a freaking gasket when she found out." Toe socks had always been more expensive than regular socks, that had been her reasoning. "Can't ever wear toe socks without thinking about that anymore." She kicked her slippers off and crossed her legs butterfly style.
Turning her head, she made a face at Maddie when she chided. "Ugh. It's totally gonna feel like I wet the bed," she sighed heavily and narrowed her eyes at the mattress. "I dunno why I didn't think of getting down on the floor." She tugged a couple of her blankets down onto the floor before they got wet, and then looked from the bed to the floor.
"Guess I should probably sleep on the floor. I'll probably get sick if I sleep on the bed or something." She picked up the kitten that had made its bed on her pillow, then picked up her pillow, dropped it on the floor, and set the kitten down on it.
