Lost (Thomas, Tal, Stephie, open to Mancs)

It wasn't surprising she didn't recognise him, she hadn't spent all that much time with him at all. In fact he nearly didn't recognise her. Gone was the trademark black and pink hair, now blonde, dull and dirty. There was no makeup on her face, which was gaunt and her eyes were sunken. He might have given her the change she had asked him for, thinking he was a stranger, and moved on if it hadn't been for that tattoo.

Which part of you will you let live again? - Yvonne, Jinx

When Jinx arrived at Cherry Orchard Lane, Yvonne was sitting outside on the step smoking one of Chloe's cigarettes. Whatever this conversation was about to me, Yvonne was fairly sure she wasn't ready to have it. She wanted to start with the easier conversation, the one where Jinx had slept with his ex-girlfriend. His ex-girlfriend who had thrown him into a wall, his ex-girlfriend that he'd pined for, his ex-girlfriend that was capable of literally tearing him limb from limb, his ex-girlfriend that Delilah would freak out about if she ever heard about this most recent dalliance.

But Yvonne knew as soon as she saw him that it had to be the other conversation first, the worse one: I almost raped Stephie. Because Yvonne had to know right now every detail of that. She had to know how it had happened, every word spoken, every action taken. She had to know all these things so she could know if it was time to punch Jinx or if it was time to sit him down and have a long hard talk about his current life.

Two weeks would make it three months since Alice had been born into the world dead )

This moment shaking in my hands - Yvonne, Delilah, Jinx, sort of!Tal, open to any who want to visit

By the time the first pink bouquet arrived at the hospital, Yvonne had taken charge.

"Get it out of here," she'd hissed to the delivery man - the poor delivery man just doing his job and having no idea of the sort of horrible situation he'd walked into. But the flowers had to be collected and so Yvonne did it, throwing them - and the CONGRATULATIONS! balloon - into the closest bin.

I can feel the darkness under you - Jillian, Yvonne, Daniel

Whenever Yvonne was alone in a room with Jillian, she always thought she could snap my neck right now before the protocols even had a chance to kick in. It wasn't a comforting thought, but there it always lingered. Standing close enough to the murderous demon to hear her breathing, Yvonne reminded herself that people deserved second chances - that that she actually believed that in most cases in this hospital.

Sometimes Yvonne thought about Cinders and the hospital around her went deeply Silent Hill and she had to pause wherever she was and take a few deep breaths to calm down. She couldn't work in the hospital and harbour her vengeful thoughts about killing Cinders, and so she had to choose. She chose work. And so Yvonne closed her eyes and when she opened them again, the hospital was light and alive.

So when you gonna learn? When will you tend to these burns? )
