Holy Water - Amanda
There was a leak in the roof of the church.
Standing in the middle of the aisle, Amanda tilted her head back to watch the offending section of roof. She couldn't quite see the hole, but she could see where it was dripping down the rafters and onto the stone floor (and previously the long red and blue rug). She sighed. Just another small delight of being the priest at St Mary-at-Hill. At least, she supposed, she wasn't the physical caretaker.
She pushed a few chairs out of the way and moved the bucket into position. They had service tonight, but luckily the Tuesday ones were rarely that busy. They wouldn't need all the spaces.
( The Lord was silent on this economic matter. )
