Danny was nervous as he made his way to the cafe they had agreed to meet in. He had his best friend with him though, and that made him far braver than anything else would have. He got there early and ordered a mocha and the richest-looking cake. Then he sat beside Zoe, picking at it slowly in between snapping his head up every time the door bell jingled to announce someone moving through it.

Eventually a woman entered and when their eyes met, she mouthed 'Daniel' at him? Danny rose awkwardly, nearly knocking over the chair in his haste to greet her. "Er- Shit, sorry. Oh god, sorry I said shit! Heh. Uhm yeah, I'm Daniel. Danny." Then he offered her a hand to shake, the leather cuffs Gabe had let him borrow concealing the still obvious scars on his wrists.
