So far, for Zoya's entire time at university, she hadn't really talked to many people. Oh, she talked in tutorials when it was required and once she even asked a question in a lecture (terrifying!), but she'd made no move to anything more social than that. Which, if she were honest, annoyed Zoya. She had told herself that once she came to uni she would be better - this was where she'd finally make real friends, where she'd reinvent herself, where people would say things like 'oh, let's ask my friend Zoya about it, she's cool.'
