Migrants to IJ, 2007

I was a member of i_jihad, until I deleted my account and fled. Every day makes me more and more grateful I left. Screw LJ.

WTH . . . I get behind for a couple days (well, one and half to be exact) and now this? Ugh! :^\

Look bullies like this need to just be ignored.

They'll get bored in a day or so.

It's cause one of the comm's posts got up on stupid_free, Fandom Wank for the non-fandom people but without the no trolling victims rule. It brings all the trolls to the yard.

Ah. =/ It looks like my post regarding the new Pepsi ads gifts is partially to blame, if the stupid_free post is anything to go by.

I'm really, really sorry. I don't even know how the LJ News post could have led them to the comm. I certainly didn't expect anyone's personal journal to get retaliation spam because of it. =/

If you could refuse the gifts (ANY gift) that would be one thing. The fact they are free, so any idiot can send it to any other person they are annoyed at (hence, the spam of gifts) just annoys me. Of course, I'd personally rather see them go after the aspartame=death than the no caffeine or whatever. *scratchs virtual rash*.
And to attack a comm for allowing people to vent is childish.
I am terrified to post *anything* over there anymore, for fear of being spammed or turned in for whatever reason (six-degrees meaning my webhost of sqidge.org allowing Very Adult Stuff there would be enough to get me banned).

FYI, I believe if you ban someone from a community or your journal, they can no longer send you v-gifts -- I seem to remember seeing that in the lj-biz post somewhere. Since some of the people in the s_f post seem gung-ho about sending their ten free gifts a week in your direction, it might be wise to ban them. Sure, they may cry about free speech, but they're only there to harass you, so let them whine.

On the other hand, someone will undoubtedly post the next new stupid thing, and they'll forget all about it and start fapping about something else.

The situation at LJ is getting so hysterical (not the funny kind of hysterical) and ugly on all possible sides that I'm starting to feel ashamed of having anything to do with anyone involved.

People over-reacting about the tiniest things, organizing mobs with pitchforks against other users, paranoia and conspiracy theories...


Which of course leads to the only sensible course of action, which is to put my fingers in my ears and go "laalaalaalaawhateljay?" and happily pet the cat called InsaneJournal.

*reads through and laughs* Damn, leave for a couple of days and the sky starts falling.

This has just reached the new level of ridiculous and obscene and LJ has managed to obtain it in amusingly short period of time.
