More LJ suspensions

Fandomtossed over on Greatest Journal reports that ponderosa121 and elaboration have both been suspended from LJ; anyone here have any more news on that?

ETA: In comments on GJ, muskrit reports that Pondy's suspension may have been over a Snape/Harry piece on pornish_pixies (more info from blue_soaring, here), and shaggirl has added nebulaean to the list of suspensions nebulaean appears to be a self-deletion.

ETA2: Thanks to [info]shusu, a link to imaginarycircus's post on the subject.

Apparently ponderosa321 was deleted/suspended because of some of her fanart depicting minors in sexual situations. (LJ's new obscenity policy at work.)
Oh, but that policy won't really affect fandom; why are we all being so hysterical and leaving? *sigh*
Thanks for the link (though I'm having a hell of a time getting LJ to load tonight).
Oh my god. Ponderosa121's artwork was my first exposure to fandom. She's the reason I created my first LJ.

I didn't really have very hard feelings for LJ through this whole thing, but now I do. I thought it was over? This feels personal now. Of course I'll have to wait to hear the story behind this one, but I don't think I'll ever be going back.

If you click through to LJ news, the initial reply by imaginarycircus is on page 6.

But, oh, that bleeding orange.

Heh..wonders how IJ's bleeding orange is looking, now - which, is not meant to be a snarky statement.

I found interesting the bit at innocence_jihad regarding what 6A/LJ has managed to come up with in terms of more deleting/we-writing of history, 1984-style: the strikethrough appearance for deleted/suspended ljs no longer works; the statement has been disabled, apparently, via some lj code re-write.

(Stewie Griffen voice) "Oh LJ, you ARE goooood!"

This delete/rewrite of history is one of the things I have found most irksome about the whole situation: if a person was too vocal, challenged things too much, presented too many good (perhaps) arguable points, then LJ would delete their account (ostensibly, for other, more valid reasons), and with it all record of their protest. So now, if one goes back to have a look at such "exchanges of ideas," in news or biz, for example, one finds these weird one-sided arguments, with intermittently placed "reply from suspended user" statements scattered through the things.

I'm sure LJ will argue, "well that's just how the code is," although changing code did not seem to present too big a challenge to their tech staff in regard to getting rid of that confounded would-be politically charged strikethrough statement.

I hope someday LJ is in a position of wishing they could re-write their own history to make it so they are, once again, what they once were - however, I do not expect that will ever be the case.
*snort* I'd try to be surprised for the sakes of everybody, but really...

*getting redbull and cola and making herself comfortable for a long weekend*

Now lets see if they will ban any written fics

...also, thank you LJ for getting me into HP fandom!
Oh, I'm not surprised, though I do appreciate LJ confirming my decision not to buy a permanent account.

I do wish fandom would recognize that we can't threaten LJ with leaving when they don't want us there in the first place.
No we can not... well, unless there would be millions of journals leaving AND deleting themselves, which I doubt ever happening.

But I would like my fandoms leave, or at least make mirror communities, so my paranoid self could live a happier life.

...talking of which, few more links, because folks keep shuffling about with new ideas:
