What: A Big Family Gathering

Ganieda was bouncy and nervous and a little tiny bit nauseous. Though she was quite sure that whatever made her happy would please her brother and Belle, there was still a tiny doubt that perhaps he would think her too young and try to talk them out of it.
She held Sam's hand as she went up to the door. "Are you ready?" she asked. |

Warnings: not expecting any
Ganieda had gotten much, much better at answering phones. Once she had found out what all the buttons did, anyway. (Her first two weeks at the company were marked by many, many mis-transferred calls.)
Now she had learned, much better, to do reports, and make copies, take calls and messages and to do these things quickly. Ganieda thought that it was especially skilled of her to do these things in heels, and without magic. Most of the time, anyway.
At least the hearts on the margins of her notebooks stayed in the margins and there were many fewer hearts on the messages she took for her brother.
She is, after all, still in love. |

Ganieda was sitting on a hill, awaiting her brother. It had been a couple of weeks since their last lessons, and it was time for more. There was no one else who was quite so successful at helping her reach her magic and control it as Merlin was, though Sonya came in a close second.
Her magic is much like her brother's, though, and that helps. It feels very important to her to learn more control and skill--the amount of fire she'd summoned on the night of the exorcism concerned and frightened her.
She's dressed much how she would have been dressed at home. Sometimes, she likes to be comfortable, and dressing in flowing garments with a mantle around her shoulders makes her feel even more open to learning and controlling her powers. |

Even though she knew that she'd be working with her brother, she felt quite nervous as she took the elevator up to the floor he'd told her to get out on. It was truly amazing how at ease she was with elevators and high buildings after such a short time.
She got out and went to the receptionist's desk. "Hello, I am Ganieda Davies, I'm starting an internship today?"
She hoped she did not look too nervous. But she probably did. |

Belle bounced into Lego headquarters like she owned the place, smiling at the receptionist as she breezed into the waiting room. After a quick mental search, Belle found the person who was due to be next into Merlin's office and implanted the idea that they really, actually, wanted to hurry it up. And also that vacationing in the new resort in Seattle that he'd heard whispers of would be a good idea, come the summer.
That accomplished, she crossed her legs and pulled out her blackberry, contacting her man and arranging for a meeting the next day. There was a lot to do. |

Belle sat in her apartment, feeling miserable. She was lonely and bored, and wanted someone to talk to. The girls needed her to be strong, but at the moment she was feeling very weak.
Her cell phone was close by, sos he flipped idly through the numbers. She deleted the entry for her old home in Missouri, and Gilbert's cell phone number. Merlin's card had been tucked into the phone the night ebfore and she shrugged, dialing the number. At least he would listen to her rant. |
