Who: Finn and Avery
When: Afternoon
Where: Finn’s house

After her argument with Darcy that morning, Avery had been in a sour mood ever since. School had dragged on, and she had avoided her cousin the best she could until she was done for the day. She had to work a shift at the pub, but it wasn’t for a while yet, and she felt like she had plenty of time to stop by Finn’s and see him for a bit.

Knocking on his front door, Avery then reached up to to tighten her ponytail, wishing she had put some more care into her appearance. Jeans and a dark red t-shirt were incredibly plain, but Avery didn’t really think Finn would care much about her outfit.

Who: Darcy and Avery
Where: Their House
When: Morning

Darcy had seen Noah off in the early hours, linger at the window long after he’d gone, unable to stop smiling to herself. It was nice, different than when she’d seen Liam off in the morning, which had been nice as well, but she couldn’t put her finger on just what it was.

Avery was up and ready for school, her blonde hair tied up out of her face. She had to work after, which was just fine with her, because Avery was thinking she could maybe drink a couple beers before the end of the night. Being a little buzzy certainly made everything a lot easier to deal with. Especially the knowledge that her brother was quite possibly a werewolf. But... She needed to talk to Darcy before turning her thoughts to that.

Crossing the hall, Avery knocked sharply at Darcy's bedroom door hoping she didn't have Liam inside.

Who: Avery and Lochlan
When: Afternoon
Where: The pub

Avery felt all kinds of guilty, having forgotten about wanting to see her brother the day before. Finn had come over after they had a few beers at the bar, and they had spent another hour or so making out, which had been really nice and time consuming. But she didn’t think Lochlan would mind it too much. It just seemed like maybe she inherited some of the Lochlan O’Reilly flakiness too.

In jeans and a simple green t-shirt, Avery headed over to the pub after receiving his text message. She moved immediately across the room to the bar and planted her butt on one of the stools, her expression one of guilt and apology. “Sorry about yesterday. You didn’t, like, hang out at the gazebo waiting for me, did you?”

Who: Finn and Avery
When: Afternoon
Where: Central Park

With the rain having stopped, and the skies clearing up, Avery decided to take advantage of the nicer weather and maybe dress up a little. But only a little. She didn't want to look like she was trying too hard or whatever. She didn't have a whole lot of girly clothes, really, but she did have a dark blue sundress that barely skimmed her knees. She decided to wear it with a white cardigan, and she tied her hair up into a simple ponytail. She wasn't going to be like Darcy and primp in front of the mirror, but at least she wasn't in jeans and a boring t-shirt this time.

When it was time to meet Finn, Avery walked to the park, drawn in by the crowds, the food and booths set up everywhere. For an impromptu gathering, people were certainly on the ball, it seemed. She realized that they hadn't set a specific meeting place when texting earlier, so Avery began to wander through the park, glancing around for any sign of Finn.

Who: Avery and Darcy
When: late afternoon
Where: Home

Darcy was busy putting together what she needed for her date with Liam. Yes, the weather was crap and not looking like it was getting better, but Darcy had a plan and a hurricane wouldn’t stop it. She was determined. It meant her hair was mostly straightened with a round brush, but she was also pinning it back to get it off her shoulders in the the bathroom she shared with Avery.

Avery wasn't actively seeking out Darcy, but that didn't stop her from slowing down as she left her bedroom and passed the bathroom, spotting her cousin in front of the mirror. Leaning against the door frame, Avery watched Darcy for a moment before speaking. "Your hair looks pretty," she said, a rare compliment for Darcy making it's way past her lips. "Are you going out with Liam again?"

Who: Avery & Lochlan
Where: Hospital
When: Evening

Lochlan had finally gotten a second gown to cover his ass and had walked himself down to a waiting room that had been supplied with books and ancient magazines. He sat himself in a chair and began to read Gulliver’s Travels. Not exactly his thing but it was something at least to take his mind off of everything happening and get him the hell away from Patrick. He wasn’t sure how much longer later he heard Avery’s shoes in the hallway. He called out to her so she wouldn’t walk all the way to the room without seeing him first.

Avery had slept a bit restlessly the night before, lingering worries and irritations keeping her mostly awake. She had gone to school for some of the day, spent some time with Finn, then spent an hour or so trying to help out at the pub before she walked to the hospital to see Lochlan. She was about to pass by the waiting room he was lounging in when he called out to her, and lifting a brow curiously, she took a few steps back and peeked in to see her brother sitting inside with a book in his hands. That was kind of... weird.

And it gets weirder... )

When: Afternoon
Where: Central Park

Finn wanted to the at the hospital, but he wasn’t useful there and he’d promised Avery they could give the picnic a try. Of course the weather wasn’t working in their favor either, but he still hurried to meet her. He found himself mostly hoping she wouldn’t be upset with him for being distracted because he definitely was.

Avery happened to be distracted as well, but she didn't want to put off meeting Finn. Even if it was raining. Again. But this time she was determined not to let it ruin... whatever it was they were doing. A date redo, maybe? She might have dressed up more, but it didn't seem like the right kind of weather to wear a sundress. But she took more care in her hair, and wore a little bit of makeup, careful to not overdo it. She wasn't soaked through the bone this time, so maybe that was a plus.

Who: Avery and Eily
When: Late afternoon
Where: Hospital cafeteria

After a less than pleasant introduction to Lochlan’s auction date, Avery was in the hospital cafeteria, pushing some food around on a plate, much like she had done that morning while waiting to see her brother. Eventually she would have to go home, probably before dark, and she was already thinking a shower and bed sounded really good, as long as she didn’t have to talk to Darcy beforehand. She was already in a foul mood and Avery knew Darcy would only make it worse. Sighing, Avery began to push her peas together in a straight line, making a silly pattern without really thinking about it, her cheek resting on her palm and a frown on her face.

Eily knew she needed to put something in her stomach, even if her body really felt like it was going to violently reject anything she attempted to eat. Still, she knew she had to give it a shot, at any rate. So, she went to the cafeteria. Spotting Avery, she watched her for a long moment, then drew in a breath and let it out in a rush, walking over. "Hey." she greeted.

Who: Avery and Chiri
When: mid day
Where: The hospital

With a nurse inside Lochlan’s room, Avery had wandered the hospital some, trying to figure out who else had ended up there over night, and if she knew any of them. Her brother had already told her Ms. Ryan was there. Despite going mostly unnoticed by the somber looking staff, Avery didn’t really find out any new information. People were busy and she wasn’t feeling nosy enough to start asking questions she probably wouldn’t get answers to.

So Avery grabbed something to drink and headed back toward Lochlan’s room, wanting to see him one more time before she returned home for a shower and something to eat. She might have stayed the whole day, but she knew her brother would insist she go home, and Avery wasn’t feeling up to arguing with him. When she caught sight of the pink hair in the hall, Avery slowed her steps, remembering Lochlan mentioning having been with Chiri when the wolf attacked. “They’re checking his bandages,” Avery called out to her, since she assumed Chiri was there to visit. “They’ll be done soon, though. If you’re here for Lochlan, I mean.”

Who: Avery and Lochlan
When: Morning
Where: The hospital

After getting to the hospital, Avery had to wait for Lochlan to wake up before she could visit. So she had paced for a while, then attempted to eat breakfast although she had ended up throwing most of the food away. Finally she was told she could see her brother, and Avery made a beeline for his room.

Knocking softly on the hospital door, Avery opened it slowly and peeked her head in, not wanting to wake him up if he was sleeping. Okay, so maybe she wanted to wake him up, but only to make sure he was okay.

Lochlan was bored out of his skull. The only times he found remotely interesting were when family visited or when one of the attractive nurses came in. He was busy imagining he was playing XBox in his mind, trying to keep from going stir crazy and trying to leave again for which he had been sorely reprimanded the last time he'd attempted it. When he heard the knock on the door his eyes opened and a grin spread across his face. Automatically he called out, "Oh Rosalita, is it time for my sponge bath?" He asked her that every single time she came in to check his vitals. Not once did she crack a smile but he was determined.

He stopped before going on though because somehow he sensed or maybe he smelled her? He knew Avery was there even before he saw the familiar blonde face peeping in. "Hey, Aves. Come to spring me?"

Who: Avery, Darcy, Eily
Where: walking to the hospital
When: Just after dawn

Eily had done her running with Nic, saved a handful of people, run over one wolf, and done her level best to keep her shit together. Then, when it was starting to get light out, she called it, exhausted, even if she was heading to get the girls. She had Nic drop her off at her house, so she could grab Darcy then they could walk, collect Avery, and go to the hospital together.

When she walked in the door of the other O'Reilly house, she called for Darcy. "We're heading to the hospital! Let's get going!"

Where Home

Avery was thoroughly buzzed by the time she got home through the rain - with an umbrella this time. Having beer, and then a couple shots, with her brother had saved her from the disappointment of her date with Finn, and her lingering insecurities about boys in general. She was still giggling to herself a bit as she opened the front door and stepped inside, closing the dripping umbrella and setting it aside. Determined to get into some dry pajamas, Avery shivered at the chill in the air and then started for her bedroom, only stumbling twice, once into the wall. Maybe the buzzy feeling had shifted into mildly drunk without her knowing it?

“Darcy?” Avery yelled, heading for her cousin’s room instead. “Darcy?”

Warnings: Language

While it continued to storm outside, Avery grew restless inside, especially being stuck inside a house with no power, alone. She had no idea where Darcy was, and honestly her cousin was probably the last person she wanted to have to talk to after the day she’d had.

So instead, Avery waited for a temporary lull in the rain, and then hurried down the block to the pub. It would be without power also, but she was guessing Lochlan was there anyway. And if he wasn’t, she supposed she would check Eily’s house where he sometimes crashed.

Avery was wet again by the time she walked through the door, but she had gotten soaked multiple times through the day already that she just didn’t care anymore. Pushing her wet hair behind her ears, she wandered to the back of the bar, searching for her brother. “Loch?”

Who: Finn and Avery
Where: the movie theater
When: Early afternoon

Finn had struggled with what to wear, but when he was sent home early from work due to the downpour, he was starting to worry less. By the time he'd made his way to the theater for their movie, his hair was dripping, his jacket over a plain henly was almost soaked through and looking dressed up or nicer than usual for his date with Avery seemed like a waste of time. He hoped she'd managed to stay drier, or they might both be uncomfortable. Shaking his hair out as best he could he searched the lobby of the theater, looking for Avery.

Who: Corey and Avery
Where: shop downtown
When: afternoon

Corey had gotten some money together, and gone shopping. Which she hadn't really done for anything but food since she'd got to the dome, so that was weird in general. She was standing outside one of the shops, looking in the window at the racks of clothes in there, and she was nearly afraid to go in and even try anything on. She was nervous, and was utterly unsure what to do with herself.

She'd texted Gabe, to ask his opinion because she lacked friends of any other description. She very much had no females around to help her in that even a little. So she stood there, waffling over what to do in preparation of her date with Eli. It just sucked because she knew she was psyching herself out. It was stupid. She just couldn't quite help it.

Who: Avery and Finn
Where: The festival
When: After the auction

Once they were off the stage and out of the way, Avery felt she could breathe a little bit better. She had no idea where Darcy had dragged Liam off to, that poor guy, but her cousin was really the last thing on Avery's mind at the moment. "We never officially met, but I've seen you around," Avery told Finn, once they were sort of alone. At least not being watched anymore. She smiled at him and almost offered a hand, but that felt kind of weird, so she kept it at her side. "I'm Avery. My family owns the bar in town."

With the festival probably in full swing by now, Avery was dressed and ready to head down to the park to check it out, more specifically the auction. She walked downstairs to find her shoes, wondering if she might run into Ren somewhere. Avery didn’t mind doing things alone, but it was always more fun if people she actually liked were around to goof off with her.

Sitting on the nearby chair, Avery shoved her feet into her shoes, thankful that her headache that morning had gone away after a shower and breakfast. She hadn’t even had that much to drink with Gabe, but seeing as how it had been awhile since she had alcohol, it had definitely taken it’s toll.

Time:12:05 am
Who: Open to Everyone!
Where: The Movie Festival, Central Park
When: 4 p.m.

When the clock struck 4, Chiri bounded up onto the stage, grinning and waving at everyone. She'd been given a microphone earlier, which might have been a bad idea, considering it was now covered in stickers. Rainbows and happy faces type stickers. "Good afternoon, Domers! Welcome to happy good fun festival day, with lots of stuff going on! There should be something everyone can enjoy, and we've got an event here to help out our treasured citizens--the children! All proceeds go to the orphanage, which I will assure my very self! If anyone tries to pull a fast one, they're getting bitten! And no one knows if I have rabies or not!" she said brightly to the crowd.

"Anywho! Today, we are gathered here to honor a time tested tradition! To totally sell people off for good times for a good cause! So get out your wallets, and feast your eyes on this Dome's bravest bachelors!" Chiri winked at the crowd. "And by the way, they are all way easy on the eyes, so let's cough up some decent pricetags!" she teased. "Here's how this goes! Opening bids start out at twenty bucks! They'll go up five at a time!" she explained. "To make a bid, wave your number around, and someone'll spot it. Probably me. Then there'll be raising bids, and all that til someone comes out on top! Winners will get an evening with their shiny bought man, along with tickets to a movie at the theater! I should tell you it's got to be done within thirty days, but who the heck would wait it out that long when these men are just waiting for you?" Chiri bounced up and down on her feet. "And on that note--let the bidding begin!!"

Who: Avery and Gabe
When: Evening
Where: O'Reilly's Bar & Brewery
Warnings: Drinking

Gabe arrived at O’Reilly’s promptly at 8 o’clock, though the second he stepped into the pub he felt out of place. They served food, but he’d never eaten there, and to his eyes he felt younger than everyone. It wasn’t necessarily true, though; it was just a matter of comfort. Usually when he walked into a place he’d never been before, he would scout for zombies and secure all the exits. In this case, his eyes scanned the pub, looking for Avery, sure she was about somewhere.

Avery had arrived a few minutes earlier and promptly took a seat at a small table in corner as far away from the bar as possible. The last thing she wanted was for her family to embarrass her, even if this wasn't a date. When Gabe began looking for her, Avery had ordered a beer already, more than a little happy to have someone who would actually have a drink with her. The problem with drinking at the family pub was having said family watching and limiting her, but Avery supposed she could work around them if need be. She was pretty good at improvisation. Spotting Gabe, Avery lifted her hand in a wave to catch his attention.

Where: The bar

A curfew didn’t seem to keep people away from the bar that night. Avery didn’t figure it would, but it was still pretty funny to see that people would rather risk their lives to a bat bite than forgo an evening of drinking beer. The bar wasn’t crowded, crazy busy, but there had been enough people in and out that it hadn’t diminished Avery’s work load. Or... what should have been her work load. There were still a few tables needed clearing off and cleaned, but Avery was currently lounging behind the bar with her brother, bored. Her nail polish had started to come off on her middle finger, so Avery was idly chipping away at the pink polish with her thumb nail, ignoring the work that needed to be done.

“Next time I waste money on nail polish, it better last for more than two days,” she said with a small sigh as she scraped off another tiny, pink flake. It wasn’t that Avery was vain, or even all that worried about that kind of stuff, but money was money and she didn’t like wasting it on crap.
