The Snarry-a-Thon is open to everyone over age 18 and anyone may claim a prompt. A list of fest rules and FAQs can be found here. Each prompt may be claimed up to four times - twice by an author and twice by an artist. If you would prefer to use a prompt of your own creation or a prompt from a previous Snarry-a-Thon, please claim Wild Card #1. WILD CARDS CAN BE CLAIMED BY AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE. When you sign up, you do not have to list an alternate prompt. But if you do, priority will always be given to your first choice. As this is not an exchange fest, authors and artists should feel free to interpret/adapt the prompts in whatever manner you decide. Requests for specific characters (other than Snape and Harry), specific kinks (unless they are critical to the spirit of the prompt), situations, time periods, or type of ending are up to the discretion of the writer/artist and prompts may have been edited for inclusion. Unedited prompts can be found at the original "Call for Prompts" post on DW, LJ, or IJ.

Timeline:

Sign-ups and claiming of prompts: February 22 at 1 pm EST

When can I start?: As soon as the mods have confirmed your prompt.

Creations are due: April 15 (Because there are only three certainties in life - death, taxes, and Snarry)

Posting starts: May 7, 2012

If you haven't already left your three prompts on DW, LJ, or IJ you have just 24 hours left until the Call for Prompts post for Snarry-a-thon12 will close.

We'll stop taking prompts at 1 pm (EST) on Monday, February 20. Then at 9 pm (EST) a complete list of all prompts will be cross-posted to snape_potter on DW/IJ/LJ. Comments will be disabled for 16 hours to give everyone a chance to read over the entire list of prompts and decide which prompt they would like to claim.

On Wednesday, February 22, at 1 pm (EST), comments will be enabled on the post and claiming of prompts will begin.

Don't hold back. All kinds of prompts are welcome - happy prompts, dark prompts, silly prompts, kinky prompts, fluffy prompts, romantic prompts, prompts set in the past, present, or future, prompts from any universe, both unique ideas and beloved cliches....We welcome any flavour of Snarry. Let your fantasies run wild! Submitting prompts doesn't commit you to anything.

Each person may leave up to 3 prompts but no more. And because more concise prompts seem to get claimed more frequently, please try to limit your prompts to no more than two or three sentences.

The mods will stop taking prompts at 1 pm (EST) on Monday, February 20. After we stop taking prompts, a complete list of all prompts will be posted that same day at 9 pm (EST).
