Notes/Disclaimers/Betas I genuinely intended to write a smutty version of 'The Raven', and indeed got halfway through writing one, but it was so unimaginably, poke-your-eyes-out-with-a-spoon horrible, I wrote this instead. It's supposed to be a sonnet about Snape by Harry. Apologies to Elizabeth Bishop, John Donne and Shakespeare, respectively.

First I wanted to have Severus coughing - as in cat allergy, but I didn't know how to draw that. I wanted Severus to be really insulted at the 'looks like you', I wanted it to be a grumpy and ugly cat, though I don't think it looks that bad. Please take notice of the cat's bushy eyebrows! ;) xxx

Artist's Notes/Thank you's: I tried depict how it would look like when Harry begs Snape not to go back to Voldemort. I tried to draw Snape looking all determined to fulfill his obligations, unimpressed with Harry's efforts to stop him and his own death... The latin on top of the frame means 'redemption' and 'hopelessness' at the bottom of the frame. I've used an online Latin dictionary, so please excuse any mistakes or misinterpretations on my side.

While our Champions are busy putting pen and pencil to paper, we invited anyone who wanted to partake in the challenge to submit for posting any or all of the following:

• FICLET: No more than 500 word story, no less than 100 words, with no more than 15 word title.

Our most esteemed 2009 Snarry Mixed Games Teams have already been given this list of prompts and genres to peruse for several days.

By Saturday, they must each commit to their Genre(s) and Prompt(s). Then we will light the torch flame firecracker and the games will BEGIN!

Champions are required to pick THREE (3) between their prompts and genres.

Combinations can be either TWO genres and ONE prompt, or ONE genre and TWO prompts.

There are SIX (6) Genres and SIXTY (60) Prompts total.

The judges will rate each entry based on genre(s), prompt(s), and overall performance.
