Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie
So how many of us Americans gained five pounds this week? LOL!

It was a good week, despite only having Sally working for two days. I invited a friend over for Thanksgiving and we ate and then after she left I ate some more and then hibernated for a while. LOL! It was good!

Got my shrink appointment done early, that was nice. Got in and got out. By the end of next month, I'll be off the Abilify and will see if that's what's causing the shaking or not.

This week I have an appointment on Tuesday with the agency that assigned me Sally. They're coming to the apartment so that's not so bad. They do this like three or four times a year, so it's no big deal.

I also have a THING tomorrow. I was convinced by my friend to sign up for a 24-hour gym. Yeah, I know. She got twenty-five dollars out of it so that's not so bad. But that means tomorrow I meet with someone to help me figure out what I can and can't do. I figure any exercise is better than none, but I'm not exactly looking forward to it. An object at rest stays at rest and I've been at rest a long time.

Still, it'll be good for me. Blah. Wish me luck that I don't fall off the treadmill and embarrass or hurt myself.

To counteract all that good exercise, I'm actually going to try out my weekly recipe this time. If it's good I'm making it for Yule. Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie. It's just five ingredients but someone in the comments suggested expresso powder to make it a bit more flavorful and that sounds good to me! So I'm going to try adding that too! LOL! Hope y'all like!

"In difficult times, people too often lose the ability to face the future optimistically. They begin to think about their tomorrow's negatively. They forget that the tough times will pass. They concentrate on the problems of today rather than on the opportunities of tomorrow. In so doing, they not only lose the potential of today, they also throw away the beauty of tomorrow."

"Many great writers address audiences who do not exist; to address passionately and sometimes with very great wisdom people who do not exist has this advantage - that there will always be a group of people who, seeing a man shouting apparently at somebody or other, and seeing nobody else in sight, will think it is they who are being addressed."

Orange Glazed Cranberry Bread
Well, here it is. The big week of Thanksgiving. The cooking Olympics of the year! LOL!

Seems like it was just Halloween, doesn't it? My how time flies. I'm not doing much for Thanksgiving, just chicken strips, sweet potatoes, and dressing. I'll not call it stuffing since I'm not stuffing it in anything. LOL! Sally will be making my sweet potatoes and dressing for me the day before, and I'll make the strips in the oven the day of. Oh! And pumpkin pie, can't forget that.

Still, I wish I had the stamina to get up and make it myself. I kinda hate asking Sally to do all that when she goes home and cooks all night for her own family. She's got a big family so she's making much more, including things like deviled eggs, potato salad, and macaroni salad. And homemade pies, she's working on them tomorrow when she's off. Four of them! I envy her family, they better appreciate her!

That's the big thing going on this week. Oh, I've got my shrink appointment tomorrow but it should be easy peasy, in and out. They're just going to lower my abilify more so I can see if the shaking is due to that or something in my head. That shouldn't take long.

So yeah, mostly cooking and eating this week. I may invite a friend over for the big day if she doesn't have anywhere else to go. I kinda hope she does, for her sake. She's got family in the area but they never seem to include her unless they need her. You know the type.

I'm looking forward to the dressing the most though, I love dressing! I'll eat it till Saturday. LOL!

Here's a recipe that would be nice for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. I actually made something like this without the streusel on it and it was GOOD. Mom and I would slather cream cheese on it and eat it warm. So I hope you like it.

"Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while or the light won't come in. If you challenge your own, you won't be so quick to accept the unchallenged assumptions of others. You'll be a lot less likely to be caught up in bias or prejudice or be influenced by people who ask you to hand over your brains, your soul or your money because they have everything all figured out for you."
