A/N: I was very moved by a fic roozetter wrote a while back: That Which Makes Us Weep. While my story isn’t the same story, it features an older Harry and Severus and an adult Lily Luna, and when I realized that after I wrote this, I wanted to give credit to the author of that lovely story, and point everyone back to it to take another look.

In a just a few short days, posting for the First Time for Everything Fest will begin. The first post will go up on Monday, Sept 16 and posting will continue for the next three weeks. A number of entries will be locked to members only, so if you are not already a member, you need to become one today. Make sure you have a clear age statement on your profile page before you apply. Please remember that all entries will be cross-posted to IJ/LJ/DW, so if there are shenanigans on one site, you'll still be able to get your Snarry fix on one of the other sites. Commenting is enabled at all three. Our participants welcome squee as well as thought-out reviews. Show the authors and artists your love and support!

The First Time for Everything fest, the latest Snarry fest sponsored by snape_potter is open to everyone over age 18. All ratings of fic, art, and crafts are welcome. Snape and Harry must be the primary pairing/characters, though secondary pairings are permitted. And in keeping with the theme of the fest, all the entries need to be related (however loosely) to a first for Severus or Harry.

The First Time for Everything fest welcomes traditional firsts like a first kiss, first owl, first time they spent the night together (maybe even just sleeping), but also relationship milestones like the first time Harry or Severus said they were sorry or wrong, the first time Severus or Harry took care of the other (or perhaps one of Harry's children) when they were ill, or the first time Harry or Severus introduced the other as their partner. And there is always the option of even completely non-traditional first times like the first time Severus talked to Harry about Lily Potter or the first time Harry realized he trusted Severus. Let your imagination run wild.

The lazy days of summer are in full swing where your mods live, but there are still a number of things happening at the comm.

•Since June is "National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride month" we've resurrected our challenges at the comm and the theme of our first challenge is "Pride".

How do you imagine Severus and Harry came out to their friends, their families, or the wizarding world? DH compliant creations or AUs, anything is possible as long as you focus on Severus and Harry and expressions of pride. There is no minimum or maximun word count and we'll accept anything from drabbles/drawbles to ficlets, drawings, crafts, vids, baked goods or full length fics and pieces of art. The only restriction is that Severus and Harry must be the main pairing. You can find more information at LJ, IJ, or DW. Posting is open now and ends June 30.

•It's also time again for sign-ups for our Fall Fest. The theme this year is "First Time for Everything".

"First Time For Everything" Fest is an anonymous, one-shot, theme-based fic and art fest hosted at snape_potter on LJ, IJ, and DW. And, no! Not necessarily that first time (though it can be). It doesn't even have to be the first time our guys tried a particular sexual activity or position. First day on the job where Harry is Severus's supervisor, first time Severus agreed with Harry on anything, or the first time Severus picked up the tab on a date with Harry. Sign-ups begin Monday, June 24!

This year, we hope to have a fest that will meet everyone's Snarry needs. We will be hosting three fests at snape_potter: Snarry-a-Thon13, The First Time for Everything fest, and Secret Snarry Swap. For those who like to work from prompts with no limitations on length, there is Snarry-a-Thon13 and for those who like an Exchange fest or bite-sized entries during the busy end of the year holidays, there is Secret Snarry Swap.

In previous years Snarry-a-Thon posting has usually begun on Easter. However, since Easter is earlier this year and we feel we've more than resurrected the Snarry around here ;D, your mods have to decided to push the date back until mid-April for this round. Check out the calendar for all the relevant details, but please note that all Snarry-a-Thon13 entries are due April 1 - and we aren't joking! Posting will begin April 15 because there are only 3 certainties in life: death, taxes, and Snarry. ;D

Since our Autumn fest has a revolving theme, this year the theme for the Autumn fest will be the First Time For Everything fest. No! Not necessarily that first time (though it can be).
