The format for our Halloween Mini-Fest is simple:

Beginning Monday, October 17th, you may leave up to seven autumn/Halloween prompts. They can be spooky, romantic, humourous, angsty, etc. As long as the main pairing is Severus/Harry, anything goes!

There will be no claiming of prompts. Creators can begin writing or drawing immediately. Prompts may be filled multiple times.

All entires will be self-posted to snape_potter. If anyone needs help or would like the mods to post for you, don't hesitate to ask.

Posting will continue through All Soul's Day, November 2nd, and the master list will post on November 4th.

Further details as well as both the prompting and posting templates will go up on October 17!

In light of the release of Cursed Child, if you use any information from the play or transcript, please indicate this on the warning line of your header.

We will remind everyone on mod posts (for fests, etc) until the end of the year. After that, while you may wish to continue doing so as a courtesy to your readers, it won't be required.

Because there are many Snarry works at InkStained Fingers, if you have any there or can be of any help at all as they attempt to import works to AO3, please have a look at their last couple of posts regarding the move, here and here.

The Valentine Comment Fest begins Monday! We'd love to see a wide variety of prompts so put on your thinking caps and meet us back here then. *g*

From February 8-21 we'll celebrate Valentine's Day with Severus and Harry!

The rules for this comment fest are fairly simple but there are some important ones. Please read closely.

•The primary pairing must be Severus/Harry as per our community rules.
•Fic and art are welcome. Drabbles, drawbles, ficlets, etc. from 100 words on up.
•You may leave as many prompts as you like but leave just one per comment.
•Prompts should focus on Valentine's Day but can be anything from fluffy to dark, romantic to kinky.
•Any rating is welcome.
•Creators should reply directly to the prompt comment they are filling.
•Prompts may be filled more than once.
•Use appropriate warnings when necessary.

Deviations from our usual fest rules:
•All prompts/fills will be on LJ only. Comment fests work best when all activity is in one place. We will allow anonymous comments or you can log in with OpenID from IJ and DW.
•No chan or any NC-17 art will be permitted for this fest only because then the entire entry would need to be locked, diminishing the number of people able to participate.

If you have questions or comments don't hesitate to ask. This is something new for us so we may not have worked out all the kinks. ;)

Snarry-a-Thon is an anonymous, prompt-based fic and art fest hosted at snape_potter and posting at AO3 as well as LJ, IJ,and DW. This fest is all about having fun with our favorite pairing and celebrating the enduring love we have for these two men and they have for each other. Posting will begin on May 2, 2016. The Call for Prompts for the Eighth Edition of Snarry-a-Thon begins tomorrow, January 21!

Utterly devastating news today but we thought that perhaps people would like to share their thoughts here about Alan Rickman. About Snape, his other roles, anything about this legendary actor is welcome.

We love you, Alan. Always. ♥

This year we hope to have a fest that will meet everyone's Snarry needs. We will be hosting two fests at snape_potter: Snarry-a-Thon16 and Secret Snarry Swap and three different challenges.

For those who like to work from anything goes prompts, there is Snarry-a-Thon16, for those who like to warm up with Snarry during the busy end of the year holidays, there is Secret Snarry Swap, and for those who like to pick up spur-of the moment challenges, there will be our annual summer challenge and two new challenges: a Valentine's Day comment-fest and a Halloween self-posting fest!

Our Valentine's Day challenge will be a comment-fest that will run for a week to either side of February 14th.

The first full fest of the year will be the 8th annual Snarry-a-Thon. Prompt-based and anything goes, our signature fest begins posting May 2nd.

The summer months are always a bit slow and we want to perk things up a bit with our July challenge. The Halloween challenge will run for two weeks at the end of October. Details will be announced closer to the dates, but you can be sure Severus and Harry will be involved somehow. *g*

Our final fest will be December's Secret Snarry Swap with details to come closer to sign-ups.

This year we'll be having weekly themes/prompts for those folks who like a bit of inspiration. Of course, you are free to create anything with a summery theme.

Here's where you can leave suggestions for new and/or unusual careers for Severus and Harry. The sky is the limit but we want to remind you of two things:

#1 There are only a select few occupations which are forbidden. For Severus they are Magical or Muggle Professor, Spy/double agent, Apothecary owner, Unspeakable. For Harry they are Auror or police officer, Quidditch player, DADA professor and Curse-breaker.

#2 We are not collecting prompts--just jobs. If you want to see Harry as a Healer in the Maternity Ward, awesome! Severus as a professional chocolate taster? Sure thing. Other details/preferences will not be included in the final list.
