02:36 pm [icon_uk] [Link]	X-Men Sketchcard cuteness For Monday morning in the USA I bring you unbridled cuteness to lighten the day I've posted artist specific sketchcards in the past, and I recently found these from the new "X-Men Archives" set, the sketchcards by the Katie Cook, an artist whose cute style is utterly charming, and infinitely flexible. I can thoroughly recommend checking out her website here, where she covers ever pop culture fanbase going (Sriously, she even manages to make ObiWan watching the recording of Anakin killing the Jedi "younglings" look cute and sad (as opposed to the movie, which made it somehow hilarious, or maybe that was just me). She posted these herself on the Scoundrel Art Community forum, so I don't feel guilty for posting them here. A couple of my favourites at a large size. followed by LOTS of images I'm pretty much expecting to see as icons within two days! Because it features lovely, lovely John Romita Jr. art in nice quiet scenes, I decided to seek it out. 5 and 2/3 pages from a 22-page story in Uncanny X-Men #183, not my scans. 12:09 pm [angelophile] [Link]	One Perfect Moment - Astonishing X-men #4 There's been a few scenes posted from Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-men for One Perfect Moment Week, but this one's slipped through. The one moment from his run that I actually do consider perfect and perhaps because, in four speechless panels John Cassaday conveys more emotion than Whedon did through all of his Buffy-eque dialogue in the entire run. By the way, does anyone else feel a "Why We Miss Kitty Pryde Week" coming on?
