Saiyuki 100 Word Challenge

He could smell the aroma coming from the small cabin and confirmed his suspicions about why precisely Hakkai had sent him away for the day.

There was no reason why Sanzo and Gojyo would willingly take him into town together.

It was all too easy giving them the slip.

The smell was so pungent that he could taste it and he almost drooled.

Meat buns took precious hours to make and no doubt Hakkai was sweating up a storm to properly get the dough to rise.

Goku bounded into the cabin and grinned to Hakkai – intent on getting first dibs.

The secret keepers of last weeks challenge proved to be the Sanzo-ikkou with 10 points.  I guess that means that you shouldn’t spill your guts to the Kou-tachi or the Homura-tachi.

 

The prompt this week is #4 – Smell

 

There are a lot of smells out there – meat buns cooking in a steamer, cigarette smoke, campfires, clean fresh air.

 

Whether Goku has got a nose for food, Hakkai is fed up with the smell of cigarettes, Gojyo has a problem with the monkey’s farts, Kougaiji loves the smell of Yaone’s perfume or Sanzo has a problem with the smell of rain.  No matter what is lingering in the air – write it in 100 words.
