Saiyuki 100 Word Challenge

Title: Shadow Play

Sanzo sat, back to the sun, as he examined his pistol. Its shadow was cast onto the ground and Goku stood behind him.

“Look! It’s got bunny ears.”

Sanzo stared at the bunny-eared pistol and tilted his head.

“And now it’s a dragon. Rawr!”

“Goku…”

“Oooooh, it’s a snaakke! Look out for the snaakke!”

Sanzo sighed and smacked back with his fan.

“Waugh! Hey!”

“Can somebody entertain him,” Sanzo growled.

“Oh come on, this is fun,” Gojyo said. “Heh, what do you think this is?”

“Ewww!”

Sanzo muttered, “Shadow puppetry, who taught them that?”

Hakkai sat quietly and just smiled.

The Sanzo-ikkou and the Homura-tachi spent a lot of time gazing at the moon last week. They'll need to settle the 10-point tie on their own time - maybe the Kou-tachi can referee since they don't seem to have anything better to do.

Goku's shadow on the ground, Sanzo in the shadow of his fallen master, a young Gojyo shadowing his older brother on a date, Hakkai's mythical five o'clock shadow - no matter whether you take this prompt literally or figuratively, you must cast a shadow into just 100 words.
