The past year has been full of changes for me, interesting and good and thankfully nothing too bad. I wouldn't change any of it, except maybe to wish that my partner would maybe not get injured quite so much.

And it looks like the new year is already off to an excellent happy amazing start because... ALASDAIR PROPOSED!! (And of course I said yes!!!)

Sorry! I'm still excited and happy from last night, and probably will be for a while but I promise I'll try not to be completely insufferable about it.

Anyone with no plans who is looking for a quiet place to celebrate the turn of the New Year is welcome to come by my place tonight. Little ones are welcome. Plenty of food on hand, and I'm sure I can find some wine or other if you so desire, or you can bring your own, but we're keeping things reasonable.

Relaxation, conversation, music on the wireless, and generally a good time all around—in case anyone else is tired from all of the festivities of the season.
