For all those offering condolences and such, words are just words and are not helping right now. Saint Mungo's is deeply in need at this point with all the injuries. I have been aiding in cleaning and carrying supplies, since I've volunteered in the past. If you want to help, if it matters to you, do something.

Again my intelligence can't be my own. At least I am not seducing my professor this time. I am thankful for small graces. Or not, but still. My skills in arithmancy must be remarkable if the 'real' source of my skills is always so in question. It can't possibly be that I am just a nerd who studies this stuff for fun outside of class.

Speaking of, I wonder if a node-network model would reveal anything? It has been used to map social networks. Although it is unlikely to reveal more than trends among the rumors, of which some are obvious. And I imagine I would feel dirty should I delve too deeply into the gossip rag.

It feels good to be back at school. It probably sounds a bit nerdy but I actually missed this place. Phobos and Deimos are glad to be back as well. They definitely prefer flying out and about out here in the open air rather than through the city. Plus they were starting to drive poor dad crazy.

I would just like to say that I would never do anything inappropriate with a student. I am sickened by the thought. I consider all of my students to be like my children and I would like to apologize if I have ever made anyone uncomfortable. Summer is nearly over and in less than a few days I will be headed back to school. Tomorrow my mom is going to the airport to pick up Abbie. It has been so long since I saw my sister. I miss her very much. Last time I talked to her she said she was having fun, but I know my grandparents are already trying to set her up with boys from India's magical schools. For once I am glad that I have a younger brother that everyone likes better.

USA is looking good for the Finals of the Quidditch World Cup. It's only a couple weeks away. Dad's secured our tickets and hotel already. Is anyone else planning on going? If so, it would be nice to have a party or something before the match.

Sorry, sorry. I lost myself reading the past few days I think. Do you ever get lost in a really good book, then start to think about how the author was feeling or what they were thinking when they were writing it? My favorite author lately has been Poe. I don't know why. It's summer, not fall. But, I find myself intrigued by his use of language and even his style of writing reads like it's meant to be read out loud.

Sometimes I do get lonely here, but at least there's always Nina outside. She's my stallion. Quite beautiful, too. Grandfather tells me that she's getting older, but I'm hoping that's not true.

I think I'm done rambling for now. I can't wait for Quidditch later this summer!
