SUMMARY: Protests by Muggle rights activists in Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, Tinworth, and Ottery-St Catchpole against the Muggle-hunting bill that was presented on Friday. SPPPP (Nott's crazy purist group) also showed up to protest the protesters. Tinworth protests end in a riot when the residents, still angry and fearful of reprisals after the second ultimatum, turn on the demonstrators. DMLE sent Aurors and Hit-wizards to control the situation. St Mungo's also present, minor injuries handled on-site while the more critically injured were taken to hospital.

PLACEHOLDER -- 7 July edition of the Prophet updates itself with the following article sometime in the early afternoon; attack at a playground in Bristol which appears to be the work of werewolves and similar to the attack earlier this month in Hyde Park. A Muggle woman was found earlier this morning in south London, taken to hospital and claimed she was in the state she is in because of 'Mary MacDonald' (along with a few other choice quotes); two other victims (a teenage girl and a mother, both Muggles) also reported the same name to Muggle authorities before their memories were Obliviated. Possibly the work of Fenrir Greyback, given his vague comments on the journals, but this is not yet confirmed; also, given Greyback's reference to a sentence in an earlier public journal entry by a 'Mary MacDonald', she is probably the same one identified by the victims. Attack occurred on Saturday shortly after a family party that had been announced publicly earlier on the journals. 5 to 8 Death Eaters estimated to have been involved. Casualties include the confirmed deaths of Edgar Bones, Ellen Bones, Ephigenia Bones, Francis Bones, Lena Bones, Vesta Bones, and Wilfred Bones, as well as several injuries among civilians and DMLE officials and Aurors. The attack closely follows the recent leak from the DMLE about Auror Bones' use of deadly force against Cygnus Black.

CONTROVERSIAL SIDE-COLUMN
With the recent deaths of societal figure Cygnus Black and renowned Auror Edgar Bones, we have one thing left to question – why. What sort of moral justification was there in the first place for Auror Bones to kill Black? Or is it perhaps that Black is actually a Death Eater? Why else would the Death Eaters retaliate? I leave you with only one thing to ponder about: Can we as society move forward with such heavy doubts in our midst? Can we overcome these tragedies in order to face the real evil around us?
