TERRORISTS ATTACK ST MUNGO'S FACILITIES REHABILITATION CENTRE SEVERELY DAMAGED Jeremiah Smith LONDON - The night-time peace around St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries was disturbed once again last night as anti-government terrorists broke into the institution's rehabilitation centre for its Campaign for Prisoner Reform. According to reports by witnesses living near the centre, shouts and other loud noises could be heard coming from the building some time after curfew began, along with the sound and sights of parts of the building collapsing as spells were thrown around from the inside. 'I was about to go to sleep when I heard yelling coming from inside, and it's usually perfectly quiet in there even with the patients that must stay overnight,' said Helena Cohen, a Healer who lives across the street from the hospital and who sometimes works at the centre next-door. 'The next thing I knew, a part of a wall collapsed into the building and I could see light from spells inside.' Charles Li, another St Mungo's Healer who was outside for a smoking break just as the terrorists left, also reported seeing the damage done to the building. 'They must have been done by the time I got there and called the DMLE for help. I didn't dare get too close to look inside in case the terrorists were still hiding in there, but it looked bad. I could see through where parts of the walls had been blown away though, but I must have been hallucinating in my half-asleep state as I thought I could see a tiger or lion in there. Those terrorists, really, harming animals to help themselves and destroying a hospital facility meant to help people get better? It's appalling stuff.' Muggles living and working late in the surrounding area reportedly began to approach the destroyed building once the noise had subsided, although the Department of Magical Law Enforcement managed to clear the area as a danger zone and keep them away. The Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee's official story for their London newspapers is that a faulty gas pipe exploded, but no one was harmed in the accident. The Hogsmeade Herald was able to get in touch with Gaius Travers, Head of the Campaign for Prisoner Reform's rehabilitation programme, for his perspective on last night's terrorist attack. 'It seems there are no lines these terrorists will not cross. The Rehabilitation Centre was created to help, yet they have had no reservations criticising those who have been helped by our treatment and now, assaulting the Centre itself. Considering that their accusations toward our programme consist of suggestions that patients are being mistreated, their tactics are incredibly backward. It is very possible that any one of our patients could have been hurt during their attack. Fortunately, that has not been the case and they are all doing well.' Given the importance of the programme's work in making wizarding Britain and Ireland safer, Mr Travers also commented on the repairs and safety measures that will have to be taken in the near future. 'Rebuilding will commence immediately - there are too many relying on our help to prolong reparations for any extended period of time. For the patients' sake and our staff's, security will be increased to prevent anything like this from happening again.' If any readers would like to help repair the damage done to the centre, St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries will accept and appreciate donations of any amount by owl or in-person.
