MYSTERIOUS DEATHS STRIKE A CORNISH WIZARDING VILLAGE ST MUNGO'S HEALERS AT A LOSS AS TO THE CAUSE Jeremiah Smith TINWORTH - Residents of Tinworth, a wizarding settlement in Cornwall, have begun to die earlier today after a wave of mysterious symptoms befell several villagers earlier this week. Healers at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries in London are reportedly baffled at the situation. At the time of publication, healing experts have yet to account for what the victims expired from or what the source of the unknown epidemic may be, should the deaths be related rather than isolated cases. In addition to natural causes such as a magical bug or contamination, foul play or a terrorist attack have not been ruled out. Investigations, both medical and criminal in case of the latter explanation, are currently on-going. Yesterday, occupants of the Cornish village began showing signs that some Healers have inconclusively ruled as resembling those of certain types of poisoning. Curiously, residents who had complied with You-Know-Who's ultimatum and publicly denounced Muggle-borns, such as by displaying the popular 'Muggle-borns Go Home' in shop windows, did not suffer from the same symptoms. It is possible that Tinworth is the unnamed wizarding settlement that You-Know-Who selected to suffer the consequences as described in his second ultimatum earlier this month, but there has not been any confirmation yet from the Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Law Enforcement or the Death Eaters themselves as to whether this is the case. |
