Beyond Evolution

Sure, Leon had just had to deal with someone(s?) trying to grab him off the street about a month ago, but he was bored. So bored, in fact, that leaving the school felt like it was desperately needed, despite his resolution to stay on campus. He wasn't going far or anything, he was staying in the city, and he wasn't going alone. Eric had wanted to come too, when Leon had said he was going to be visiting a friend's tattoo shop. Leon wasn't about to tell anyone their tattoos sucked (why do that about something permanent?), but he was hoping Eric was going to look for some cover-up pieces.

They had teleported to the right block, and had a shard so that they could get back whenever they were done. That was precaution enough, right? He doubted there would be anyone wanting to kidnap him lying in wait inside a store.

Because he was an idiot.

And because he was an idiot, instead of teleporting back out from the tattoo shop, he decided he wanted one of the hot dogs being sold next to the shop. The HFC must have had another telepath on the payroll, as no sooner had he gotten the food than a black van pulled up and four men jumped out. They headed straight to Leon, grabbing him by the arms to force him into it.
