I asked Livejournal about the "legal definition of pornography" as described in their abuse policy at http://www.livejournal.com/abuse/policy.bml#minors_journals.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your request. The phrase "legal definition of pornography" is an unfortunate use of terminology present in this policy. As you are aware, the policy document is being revised, and we fully intend to use terminology which more clearly defines what content will be considered "adult".
