Subject:Do You Still Mean It?
Time:12:11 am
Who: Darcy and Noah
When: 04-19-2017, late
Where: Darcy's house
Warnings: NSFW

Noah was a little shaky. Not too bad, not too bad. He was good. He was safe now. He just couldn’t think about peeing his pants or any of the other things that happened. He couldn’t think of the bruises on his face even if he felt them whenever he moved a muscle to speak or smile. Not that he felt much like doing either. He was sitting in his room staring at the wall, trying to dissociate. Something nagged at the corner of his mind though. Something wouldn’t let him close down. It was the thought that he needed to see Darcy.

He pulled on clothes with slightly shaky hands, not really paying attention to what it was he put on. Just so long as they weren’t soiled. Someone had come in and done his laundry at some point. He had no idea who but he had clean things and he breathed in the clean smell. He couldn’t seem to get the image of Darcy’s face out of his head now. The look on it when he’d told her to run. That he loved her but run. And she’d gone but she’d looked exhaustively until he’d been found.

He wasn’t sure when he started walking or how long it took him but he was knocking on her front door somehow and hoping Avery didn’t answer. No, that was impossible. Avery was… he didn’t know where but she was too hurt to be answering doors as far as he’d heard. He shoved his hands into his pockets and waited.

Who: Noah and Jason
Where: Jason’s house
When: mid morning

Jason wasn’t sure what to do about the teenager tied up in his house. He’d sent the others away, though Noah hadn’t fared well through the night, more bruises from where he’d come to and someone else had smacked him to knock him out again. Currently he was still tied up then tied to a thick metal hook that had been driven into the floorboards, dirty blanket still half over him to mask his smell. They were alone, and Jason was just out of reach, not that the unconscious guy was that much of a threat.

Currently Jason was trying hard to think his way out of things. He like Sylvia. He didn’t want to like Sylvia, because he didn’t trust himself to like her considering that always went badly for him, but had anyone ever told him that they valued his opinion? Probably not. Maybe a guidance counselor somewhere looking to score points with the fucked up charity case. Or she was just making sure that if he snapped and killed people she wouldn’t be one of them. Either way, it wasn’t enough people even bothered to say it, let alone mean it. But Noah belonged to Sylvia in a sense. Not like with the redhead, whom Jason was realizing now he should have grabbed, but jealousy had had him taking the guy and not the girl, but he was still Sylvia’s. He was important to her. And keeping him captive wasn’t going to help Jason’s chances for staying important to Sylvia himself. It all left him confused and puzzled and unsure of where to go next which was stressing him out and eating away at his composure. He felt backed into a corner, which being a vampire was supposed to solve. That it wasn’t was just pissing him off more.

Who: Darcy, Noah, and Jason
Where: near Darcy’s house
When: Late

“Look, I’m not doing that walk of shame in the same clothes thing,” Darcy told Noah, smiling as she pulled him along towards her house. “We can just stop in, grab my stuff, then head back to your place. I don’t want to possibly run into Avery anyway.” Her cousin was up to her usual tricks, being even more annoying despite the fact that they hadn’t done more than text each other today.

Noah chuckled lightly. He thought of protesting about how it wasn't shameful for her to borrow his clothes but he understood that sometimes a girl wanted her own stuff. Sylvia was like that. "You're staying over then?" he asked, his tone obviously pleased. There was something so nice about waking up beside her. "How will I pick you up at your house for our date if you don't go home. Can you brave the possibility of seeing Avery tomorrow for that?"

Who: Darcy and Noah
When: Mid-afternoon
Where: Noah’s place

Noah had spent the better part of the morning wandering. He’d left as quietly as he could from Darcy and Avery’s place, pausing a long moment to look at Darcy as she slept. Then he’d headed out and meandered through the central park until he wasn’t exactly sure where he was. Which was fine with him because he’d still had plenty to think about.

Who: Avery and Darcy, Then Noah
Where: Avery and Darcy’s house
When: Just after school

The storm had hit in full force by lunch time at school and just before the last bell rang, the lights started to flicker. Darcy had figured out that the lights were out in her dash home in the pouring rain and sleet because the houses along the way were dark, including hers. “Aves?” she called out when she got through the door, soaked to the bone and shivering. Hopefully her cousin wasn’t home, but Darcy had noticed Avery wasn’t in school which was probably a bad sign. Though for what outside of Avery being home and something she had to deal with right now, Darcy had no idea. Darcy didn’t wait for an answer, peeling out of wet clothes in the foyer before starting towards her room to find something warmer to wear.

Who: Avery and Noah
Where: Out
When: Morning

The weather had changed quite drastically since Avery walked home from the barn dance the evening before. There was a distinct chill in the air, and it didn't take a genius to realize it was likely going to storm. The wind had picked up, the sky was gray and cloudy. Before leaving the house, Avery pulled on a hoodie on over her long sleeved t-shirt. Then she grabbed on of the cute, knit hats she bought a while back and slid one down over her ears, just to keep them warm. Then she left the house to meet Noah.

Where: Darcy and Avery's House
When: Wee hours
Warning: NSFW

Noah had had the longest day ever. At least that was how it felt. Which was fine because it had ended okay mostly. All he had to look forward to was the O’Reilly family dinner. He was a little scared about that. What would they think of him? He had no clue what they were hoping for in a boyfriend or whatever he was for Darcy.

He was glad she’d meant it when she said she’d leave the window open. He slid in quietly and pulled the window shut as much as it had been before. Then he stood there, watching her sleep. Avoiding the embarrassment that had ensued when he’d done that during sex type things. He really liked Darcy. So much so that he slid under her covers, mindless of the time, and snuggled in close to her.

She shifted almost unconsciously when he got into bed, drifting closer, letting herself get caught up in his warmth. At first her sleepy thoughts went to Aidan, not that he was much of a cuddler, but more that he was one of the few people she'd willingly shared a bed with in the pas. But that lingering scent of beer and hops that followed Aidan wasn't there, and as waking tugged at her Darcy realized who it was. Turning into Noah's chest she let out a sigh of relief. She hadn't heard from him and honestly she was worried. Shouldn't he have wanted to take her to the party? She hadn't wanted to go, but that didn't mean she wasn't thinking about it after the fact. She'd been worried he'd already been scared off by dinner as well, which she knew was a sign that he wasn't who she thought he was. "Hi," she murmured against him, kissing his chest.

Would suck to not really like my boyfriend wouldn't it? )

Subject:can we talk?
Time:04:19 am
Who: Noah and Sylvia
Where: the hospital
When: shortly after midnight

Noah had texted Aidan. After Darcy had let him know that Aidan had found Sylvia. It had been mortifying. He’d done it anyway because he needed to at least know she was okay. That she wasn’t dead. Not that he thought she would be because he had this amazing idea in his head of what vampires could do. Still he worried, wanted to know she was okay. Even if it was the last time they spoke. He just needed to be sure. So he’d gone into the hospital. It was the middle of the night but he was used to that now. He’d been up til all hours looking for Sylvia and then crashing with Darcy.

He’d realized at some point that she wasn’t going to come back. She’d been good to her word and was staying away which had messed with his head. He wasn’t sure he wanted to talk to her at this point but he knew he had to. So he’d gone looking for her again. This time using more of his brain than before. Though it felt stupid because why would she be on her hospital shift if she was avoiding everyone. Still, he tried. Entering the lab he knew she worked in usually and calling out her name. “Can we talk?”

Sylvia had been watching the clock. She didn't know if Noah would seek her out or not, but she was overly aware of the time either way. She was in the lab alone, as usual for this time of night, working on dried samples of her blood. At the sight of him, her posture relaxed almost imperceptibly. She exhaled a little, and realized she was relieved to see him. When he asked if they could talk, she nodded, setting everything down. "Would you prefer it here, or elsewhere?" she asked.

Subject:Trying Not To Overthink It
Time:11:47 pm
Who: Noah and Mickey
When: Late morning
Where: Counter at Eatzy's

Noah had skipped first period with Darcy, slept in with her, kissed her, and gone before she got dressed for second period. He thought about going to school but it seemed so pointless at the moment. Plus the teachers were expecting him to be out this week for the most part anyway. He'd set that up so he could find Sylvia. But she was found now and he was relieved at least that she was safe. Not dead somewhere. He was frustrated with the situation and not sure about dinner with the O'Reillys either. Too much was happening in his head so he decided to skip school and go get something to eat. Be somewhere he didn't have to think too much if he didn't want to.

Sitting at the counter in Eatzy's, Noah ordered something hot and greasy and strong, black coffee. Caffeine helped him focus and sometimes brought down the raging headache that he always seemed to have. He started doodling on a napkin as he waited for his food. Sipping coffee and writing ideas for the program he wanted to develop with Audrey for orphans in Delphi. And writing strategies for surviving the O'Reilly dinner with his balls still attached to his body. He wasn't going to say he was scared but it was one of those things he was going to do purely because Darcy wanted him to. Sometimes you do things you might not normally want to do when you're addicted to something or someone. And he was very much addicted to Darcy.

Who: Darcy & Noah
When: Wee hours of the morning
Where: Darcy & Avery’s house

Noah had, against his better judgment, gone into the woods again. It hadn’t been purposeful, he’d been thinking and, lost in thought, he’d found himself on auto-pilot, checking every clearing and dark rock outcropping large enough for someone to hide inside. By the time he realized what he was doing, he’d also realized he was lost. He’d texted Darcy to let her know he’d not be home at a good hour, just because she’d worried about him the last time. That was another thing too. He was worried this time. Because he wasn’t sure what she was going to say when he talked to her about Liam.

He pinpointed the north star in the sky above the dome and followed it back into town. He bee-lined home but Darcy wasn’t there. He sat on the edge of his bed, wondering if she was avoiding him. Well to hell with that. He showered, put on fresh clothes, and made his way to Darcy and Avery’s place. He knew he looked like a stalker, avoiding the front door and moving around the side of the house, but he figured Darcy would vouch for him if a neighbor took issue. While he walked that way he picked up a few tiny pebbles and as soon as he was near her window he pinged them against the window pane, careful not to make enough noise to rouse neighbors or Avery. Then he waited to see if Darcy’s face would appear.

Avery left Aidan’s house feeling better about the whole werewolf situation. If Lochlan and Patrick were all right and hadn’t felt a lot of pain, then maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. It was still bizarre to think of her family as werewolves, but it had happened, and it was real, and they would just have to deal with it as they could. Of course, her mind was still circling over Aidan’s revelation that Darcy had been spending the night with Noah. That was a whole new world of what the fuckery. She thought maybe they could just be friends, Darcy and Noah, but then Avery recalled her talk with Noah and he hadn’t bothered mentioning Darcy at all. If it had been totally innocent, then he would have said something, right? He knew that Avery and Darcy were cousins. So what did that mean? Was Noah Darcy’s boyfriend? Were they having sex? What about Liam? Avery wanted to track Darcy down and start the interrogation, but she couldn’t do it while she was feeling irrationally annoyed, otherwise she and Darcy would just fight and that wouldn’t answer any of her questions.

Darcy had helped out at the encampment until well before dark, then headed back to Noah’s house. She’d let herself in the same way as before, picking the lock, but it was easier this time and honestly it didn’t bother her, especially since he wasn’t home. She looked for him, wandering through the house, studying it, taking it in, but not finding Noah. So she waited.

And she’d waited a while. At one point she made herself something to eat, she’d done her homework, which didn’t make up for the classes she’d missed, but it was a start. Then that was done and Noah still wasn’t back. She was still waiting, moving back towards his room, wandering until she found something on his shelf to read and taking that, laying on her stomach on his bed, facing the door forcing herself to focus on the book and not the fact that Noah was out after dark.

When: early evening

Noah was behind in looking for Sylvia. He’d spent some time at the school and then talking to Avery and now it was getting later in the day. He didn’t care though. He was going to go out looking for her anyway. Starting with her house first and then working his way northward this time. He just needed a few supplies and he’d just finished gathering them in town. So what if the full moon was tonight? He was way north of the encampment and he could handle himself, he was sure.

He was just passing in front of the salon, cutting through on his way past the hospital toward the end of Sage road. Lost in thought and plan, he wasn’t focused enough on what he was doing. The door to the shop opened and he collided with the person exiting. His hands shot out immediately to save them both from falling which meant he ended up holding both her arms above the elbow for a moment before he let got, backed off, and said, “I am so sorry. Mind was somewhere else. Are you okay?”

Audrey squeaked slightly, though laughed when she was steadied. "God, I need to watch where I'm going!" she said, smiling at the guy. Who was familiar. "Hey! I know you from school, right?" she asked. "...Noah?" she suggested, thinking that was right. If not she was going to be hugely embarrassed. But he stood out, with those eyes and that hair, so yeah. She'd noted down his name at some point.

Darcy left Patrick and headed home, not sure what to do with herself. She’d paced around the room, trying to get her brain around what she’d been told and what they were going to do. And the part where Patrick thought she needed to move in with him. Then she’d tried for sleep, but that had failed too and she’d spent most of the night staring at the ceiling, waiting for the night to end. Then the night started to end and she gave up.

She’d started with grabbing her backpack, but before leaving threw a couple of changes of clothes into it. Maybe she didn’t really plan on staying, but grabbing her toothbrush and hairbrush on the way out was a good way to be prepared.

Noah had been looking for Sylvia in all the places he could think of she might be in town for hours. Not that he really expected to find her in town. He couldn’t imagine her going toward people if she wanted to hide but he needed to cover all his bases before he went trekking off into the woods or whatever. The last place on his list was one he had sworn he’d never enter. The brewery. But it was entirely possible she had gone to Aidan but told Noah she hadn’t for her own reasons. And if that was the case, at least he’d know she was safe.

So in he went with a breath of air filling his chest as though holding it would keep the alcohol out of his system. Keep him sober, clear-headed. His first thought was to glance around and pray that Darcy wasn’t here. Not that he didn’t want to see her but he needed to do this first. Finding out if Aidan knew where Sylvia was hiding was his priority for the moment. Yet he had no idea what Aidan looked like or if he was even there, so he simply went to the bar and asked the man behind it where he might find Aidan O’Reilly.

Subject:Next Part of the Game
Time:11:19 am
Who: Darcy and Noah
Where: Darcy's room
When: late
Warnings: mildly NSFW

Darcy had waited the first hour to see if Aidan would come for her, pissed that she'd hit the girl he was hooking up with and threaten Darcy's life or worse. When he hadn't, she just assumed that was it. Sylvia hadn't immediately called and informed him what happened. Maybe that was a point for her, but Darcy wasn't giving points. Not to her. When it got dark she'd switched to wondering if Noah would come, thinking of that when she picked out her pajamas, an oversized sweatshirt that fell off one bare shoulder and left most her upper back exposed and a tiny pair of sleep shorts. Possibly a little suggestive, but if he bothered to sneak into her room, he earned it.

Waiting was slow going, which meant she'd tried her hand at homework, and that had turned mostly into drawing on a blank page in her notebook. She wasn't very good, but it wasn't all that hard to draw trees. It was soothing, simple lines, branching out, again and again until she hit the edge of the page.

Noah had wandered quite a bit that afternoon on into the evening just trying to figure out what the hell was happening. Was this really his life right now? His best friend was a full-fledged vampire with a bite that rivaled doing street drugs and the girl he really liked, had hoped to be starting something fun with, had just attacked his her. And he didn't figure Darcy was going to really just let that go. So the question was, did he want to go find her tonight? Did he want to deal with the possible backlash for going after Sylvia? He wasn't sure he really even wanted to talk about that all. He wanted to just find Darcy and pretend like none of that had even happened. Kiss her the way he had before.

Still, he found himself at her house. He knew it was hers because he'd asked someone to point it out to him. And there she was. He could see her red hair and he watched as she doodled for a long moment before knocking on the window.

Where: Sylvia's House
When: Afternoon

Noah was completely out of his depth with this one. He’d fought zombies and not felt this much trepidation. Still he knew it was the right thing to go after Sylvia after he’d parted with Darcy. He had no idea what to expect but he needed to hear her side. He called to her before she exited the library. But apparently she hadn’t heard him. He gave a few moments. It seemed to be the thing to give girls their space. Not that it got him somewhere. After he left the library it was like he was going blind trying to find her again. But when he turned up at her house, he had better luck than he had before. He knocked on the window beside the front door and called in. “Can I talk to you?” he asked. “Syls, I need to see you.”

Sylvia had just been wrapping up writing in her journal, melancholy very much setting in. When she heard the knock, then Noah's voice, she frowned, pretty shocked. Was she just hearing that because of how she was feeling? Tentatively, she walked toward the door, though she stayed back from where the sun peeked in brighter through the sheers on the windows. "...it's unlocked." she told him.

Who: Sylvia, Darcy and Noah
Where: the library
When: noonish

While Sylvia had learned somewhat of a lesson the other day, getting burned from the sun, she still wasn't good with staying inside all day. The daytime was far longer than the night, and besides. She had research to do. So, she headed to the library, in attempts to find as many books on vampires as she could. The older the better. Even just a reference book on supernatural creatures would work, though she didn't find one. She did happen to find some fiction stories about vampires, and she checked them out, putting most of them in her backpack as she sat quietly by herself in a back corner, jotting things down in her journal.

Darcy wasn’t the library type, but sitting in her room wasn’t getting homework done. Not with thoughts of Noah floating around her head, his breath hot on her lips, his hand circling her wrist and arm. And thoughts of him were followed by guilty feelings of what had happened with Liam and what doing things with Noah meant to that. What his face might look like when she told him or if he found out. So she went for a change of locale, looking for somewhere else to work, bag slung over her shoulder, wandering through the stacks, fingers along the books.

She hated it, but she wondered what it would be like for Noah to find her here. If it would be more interesting to be alone. What he would do if he had her alone. All of which were definitely not the type of biology she was supposed to be studying. She was still smirking to herself, thinking about it, until she came upon someone else. It was enough to slow her steps until she stopped completely. Sylvia. Darcy looked around, running her tongue along her lower lip until she got made a snap decision, dropping her bag right in front of Sylvia. “We need to talk.”
