Saiyuki 100 Word Challenge

Title: I’ll Protect You

Gojyo stirred when he heard a whimper beside him. He rolled over to stroke his partner’s cheek.

“Hakkai,” he whispered. “Wake up.”

“Mmnnn, Gojyo? What’s the matter? Why’d you wake me?”

He would never admit that he had nightmares.

“Thought I heard something, but never mind. It’s all right now.”

Gojyo cuddled against Hakkai and kissed him.

Hakkai closed his eyes and lightly stroked Gojyo’s hair before he fell back asleep.

Gojyo rested his head on Hakkai’s chest, soothed by his steady breathing and the fingers in his hair.

“Don’t worry, Hakkai,” Gojyo murmured, “I’ll protect you from the nightmares.”

This week's prompt is #18 - Nightmare

Nightmare's can leave you feeling just this side of hell.  Sometimes it is hard to escape the images one leaves in your mind.  It's often hard to go back to sleep and every shadow in every corner could be some monster rearing it's ugly head.

Does Hakkai have nightmares about Kanan?  What kind of nightmares does Goku have?  Does Gojyo turn violent in his dreams?  Do you think Ni has nightmares at all?  

Whatever the nightmare and to whomever it happens, you must write it in just 100 words.
