Locations & Businesses

This page for locations in game - not the real places, like Empire State Building or something, but those places we've made up that people in game might/should know about. Fill out the bits in the form below that are applicable and leave me a comment and I'll add it!

I am a sucker for gathering places in games with lots of characters because it gives people a central place to set threads and meet others without necessarily doing a random run-in thread. I LOVE it when people set threads in places I thought of. Feel free to set threads there to your heart's content.

A few housekeeping things, it is called The Diogenes Club because it's a literary reference. It has a front room which is larger and is open to the general public, though it's a little expensive so keep that in mind. They serve alcohol, coffee stuffs, and like...nibbles and shiz. Nice shit. You know. Whatever.

Then there's the hidden back room with a separate entrance so immortals can gather together and relax. It is smaller and more intimate and is reserved for immortals mostly. 'Mostly' meaning only approved mortals allowed which just means mortals who know about immortals. Obviously people like Piper and Lena would have been introduced to the immortal 'bouncer' (who can sense whether people are immortal or not). Most mortals should be with an immortal the first time they go, BUT if they have been there once, they can return whenever they want. Their name will be on a list, so use your best judgement, I trust you all! Don't have some unknowing mortal stumble upon it and then decide to inform a newspaper or something, that wouldn't happen (and I will probably kill you). But if they're in the know, there are plenty of ways they could have gotten their name on the list without fuss.

There's an even smaller room upstairs (the entrance is behind the bar) with more bookshelves, armchairs and a fireplace which is just for the Dead Authors Club and their guests. I have no photo of this. I will find one eventually.

About the 'bouncer'... Jacob knew he had to hire an immortal because they could sense whether or not people should be allowed in the back room. He unknowingly hired Phonus, the Greek daimon of murder. He'll behave himself, mind. But if you start crap in the back room, he will shoot you in the face. So keep it civil and take arguments outside because Phonus doesn't give a crap if you start shit out there. Basically don't have people mess the place up or get into fist-fights or get kidnapped from the back room or whatnot. AND if anyone wants to be a second bouncer or bartender or server lalala, let me know!

I think that's all, really. And SET THINGS THERE BECAUSE IT MAKES ME HAPPY! You know. If you want. But basically it would be a well known place in the Immortal community so you can have any character you want to know about it! It's not just for the writers! And LOOK HOW PRETTY!
